Exactly what I needed
This stand replaces an On-Stage "Lok-Tight Pro Double X" (Model# KS8291). The On-Stage was designed for larger, heavier and wider keyboards. My piano has a full - 88 keys - keyboard. Its width is nearly 5 feet, 60 inches, yet its depth is somewhat narrow, less than a foot (12 inches). It weights less than 40 lbs. The Quik Lok better accommodates the piano's size and its height adjustments positions the keyboard just right while allowing me to sit closer to the piano as well operate the sustain pedal. In addition, the stand can fold flat, although not as simply as the On-Stage because of its clutch mechanism. Nothing was broken or missing. So far so good. Almost perfect.

Great stand. Bad box.
Arrived with bent knobs for clamping the legs. Expected based on other reviews. Plan on buying replacements. They are M8 x 50mm. You can get a set of 4 on amazon for $9.94. Other than that its a great stand. Fits my nord stage perfectly. No bounce. No left/right movement. I have had stands with height adjustment with just button and they wobbled. I've had stands with just screw clamps and they collapsed unexpectedly. This one has both. Width adjustment also has button and screw clamp. But only 2 button settings. I have been using just the screw clamp to get a perfect fit. I'll probably drill another hole and bolt the width permantly. This is not the quickest stand to set up and take down. If you leave the width and height set then it's quicker but a little bigger. The legs flop around when folded. I've been using a bungee but i would like to find an inexpensive case or gig bag that would fit.

Quik Lok WS421
The first stand arrived and it was apparent that it was not welded properly as the ends were not at the correct angles. Two of the screws that hold the legs were bent. I have other Quik Lok stands and their screws were also bent when I got them.I sent the first one back to amazon and had a replacement in a couple of days. The stand is very sturdy and will hold a lot of weight when assembled. It's somewhat heavy and not as easy to move around as you would think. The legs do fold up but they do not stay in the folded position unless you wrap a bungee cord around the stand. You have to unscrew all four bolts then rescrew them to collapse and assemble the stand. When I considered this stand I went to the Quik Lok site to see about a second tier attachment. The second tier is listed but was not available in the US according to the QL sales rep.I went ahead with the order thinking that at some point it would be available. It's apparently now available and I'm still trying to get my hands on it. QL now says 60 days out.Deal with Amazon or Sweetwater. Don't rely on anything QL says. Besides, the don't sell retail.

Arrived defective
Just received the stand and upon assembling it I found one of knobs was stripped at the bolt end. I found this out when I was attempting to attach the leg. Just to be sure I tried using another knob and discovered that the frame was welded just a bit off which caused the bolt to strip. The biggest disappointment came when I figured out that the bolt was stripped upon arrival which means they knew it was defective when they sent it to me. I had high hopes for this stand. Unfortunately I can not recommend this item.

The procudt itself is good but.....
I bought this product used from a seller and while the stand is a very good stand, mine came with a latch screw that was very warped and the plastic knob was cracked which made securing one of the legs a challenge. I'm sure this has nothing to do with the product (new in box) and was instead due to mine being used. I would buy this again in the future.

Product came damaged so I returned it. I purchased the K&M stand, which blows this one away. Don't bother with the Quick Lok and just get the K&M. You won't regret it.

Pretty cheaply made
Stand arrive with three of the four knobs broken. Didn't bother asking for new knobs because they were so poorly made. Needed to go and buy bolts and knobs at a quality hardware store.

Perfect. I’ve been in need of this for years!
The lowest height for this stand works well for my 178cm body. I can maintain excellent posture at the keyboard, and play comfortably with my knees fitting easily underneath the keyboard… with no fear of the stand collapsing, or of developing too much unwanted tension. My old stand was a crappy “x” stand… and it was not uncomfortable to practice on (or be motivated to practice on)!An old friend had a similar stand and I was motivated to finally look into it.

Solid quality stand
I have given 5 starts for sturdiness and 5 stars for stability, whats the difference? LOLEverything is good about it, only two small niggles:1. The rotary knobs stick out a bit and you can catch things on it, like your clothes and cables / headphones etc.2. Theres quite a gap between the holes in the legs that adjust the height. I have it on the second hole, but its a bit high, and the first hole is too low, so maybe if these were a little closer together, but thats a small niggle really, its great.I highly recommend this stand - Took 3 weeks to arrive though from Italy!
