Malaysian Curry Sauce Mix - 3 x 170gm

I love this curry powder and use it a lot as a base for Rendang and Malaysian stew.I like that it is not spicy - which is great when cooking for those who do not like spicy curry. I add this to coconut milk with fresh ginger, chilli and galengal and it makes a Rendang which tastes nearly exactly like the stuff you get in Malaysia and Indonesia.Good value in this three pack too.

I bought this powder based on the positive reviews, after following the quantity suggested I found that the curry lacked any discernible flavour, I will try doubling/trembling the measures, but I do not hold much hope....there are probably better blends on the market

This stuff is amazing. Lightly fry the powder in a little oil to develop the spices. Add hot water (or stock) gradually, stirring vigorously to eliminate any lumps (it thickens itself) until the consistency you want. You get something like the perfect spicy Chinese restaurant curry sauce. Pour it over what you like (e.g. fried chicken onion and peas), leave to stand a few minutes. Perfect!

I usually buy Maykways normal mild curry & have done for years...very nice...but thought I'd give this one a try.... can't even finish the first serving currently sat on my plate in front of me! I just don't find it nice at all...stronger in hotness ( the mild one's hot enough for me) & has a horrible sharper taste to it....in my opinion anyway but each to their own...wife doesn't like it either! Will stick to their usual curry & will be giving this away to someone who might appreciate it more. I'd post a pic of my dinner but amazon would start looking like facebook lol.
