Purchased this for our Cadillac XT4. Bought this kit since it is recommended by DDPAI. Instructions were simple. Cord length was great with enough extra to route down to the fuse box. There was a problem with the Mini size fuses that are attached to the ends of this hardwire kit. The Fuses are too big for these newer Cadillac's which use Micro2 Fuses which are smaller Fuses. You can buy two Littelfuse Fuse Holder's - FHM20200ZPA from a brick-n-mortar Autoparts Store and attach those wires to Micro2 Fuses. Cut off each Mini size Fuse's from this hardware kit before or after the in-line glass fuses and add/ splice in the new Mirco2 Fuses. (You do have to add two Micro2 Fuses to the Littelfuse Fuse Holder's to power the DashCam). Then plug your new Micro2 Fuses into an area of your fuse box of choice. Viola! You now have power to your DashCam. Or the alternative approach by DDPI is through their installation video. It is quite easy without needing Littelfuse Fuse Holder's. Just wrap the copper wire around the Micro2 fuses. Very pleased with the Company's fast response when I had this issue. Update on both our DDPI Camera and Hardware Kit; both are working great. I highly recommend DDPI products.

This ddpai Type-C Hardwire Kit is a great way to hardwire USB devices in the car. This can be wired to always on or ACC. Always on is great for 24-hour parking surveillance. I bought a 512GB micro SD for my dash cam and it can hold about two weeks work of 24-hr video. Installation was straightforward, and the instructions were clear, making the whole process hassle-free.I also like the reliability this kit offers. There's no cigarette lighter socket and plug to come loose. Those are out of the equation with this kit. Knowing that my dash cam is powered continuously gives me complete peace of mind, whether I’m driving or parked. If you’re looking to enhance your vehicle’s surveillance capabilities, this hardwire kit is a no-brainer.

My mechanic was able to use this to hardware my wifi rear view mirror and was able yo hook everything up with no problems! I'm very happy with this selection and I'd definitely recommend this😊👍🏾

Had to get a USB-C extension cable, this kit is really made for small cars and I thought my car was small already (coupe). Due to the nature of the wiring and where my fuse box is located, I need the extra length. Installation was fairly simple just depends on your car, but easily plugged in and works off the bat, doesnt seem to drain battery either. Overall satisfied just wish it was a few feet longer.

Most of this wire seems fine, but the final leads that go into the fuse panel of the car are super thin and could easily break under movement (like, from a moving vehicle) or tension. These kinds of thin wires are very difficult to strip and splice back together if they get broken. 1 star off.For some bizarre reason, these wires also have redundant fuses (?!). There are the standard, modern automotive fuses like one finds in a car's fuse panel, at the ends of the leads and clearly visible in the listing, but what's not shown is the old-fashioned glass tube fuses in the black housings on the left side of the pics. It would be very easy for one to simply miss them since they serve no purpose and aren't visible. It makes no sense electronically, and are an unnecessary failure point.
