It's An Automatic Installation (After You Find the Way To Do It.)
This is a very small Wireless USB WIFI adapter for PC. It has 802.11ac wireless networking. Included is a small installation disc that I expected would put this WIFI adapter into business, but opening it, there are 3 separate categories: Windows, Mac and Linux. Opening the Linux files there seems to be nothing active (that if you click on it will install the driver for the adapter. This is an old device, with the latest date I could find being 2017, and each file is nuts and bolts that you must somehow assemble into a driver. There are 3 separate files under Linux, and each one of them could be the driver I need or maybe I need all 3. There's no explanation that I can understand and just poking around and trying to get something to happen didn't work at all. A 19 page PDF mostly devotes itself to Windows which is complicated enough, but I don't know anything about the protocols or requirements. The entire process is a mystery, not helped at all by all the versions and code numbers, so if I want to install this adapter I'm going to need professional help or read a book that explains how to do this or at least what I need to make it work. If you have a Windows or Mac computer there's probably an installer that selects the software you need, but Linux Mint 19 an older version from about 4 years ago (this is 2023) is no help at all and I must do this manually. I love a challenge, but I'm going to wait until I have more information.-(A Few Hours Later) Using the internal software of Linux Mint, there was suddenly a dialogue box that opened asking if I wanted to install the software! (I had found a short video on YouTube that explained how for Linux.) The last step was a list of available WIFI channels, with my WIFI/Router at the top and all I had to do was select that and type-in the password. DONE and on the internet. (Easy when you know how!)-I had been trying to install the software through the CD, which might work for Windows, but NOT for Linux. I had to find the "Program Manager" which did the rest, finding the correct files for the USB adapter and writing them to the SSD.

Does the job it set out to do.
I bought this for a mini pc that didn’t have an onboard WLAN module. When I opened the package at first I was a little disturbed. It included a disk for installation. The problem is my computer has no disk drive. Fear not though if you are in this position as the drivers are also included on the device. Installation was easy and got the wifi up and running fast. I don’t use this for major wifi load so I can’t speak to the top speeds but for light use it is just fine. I have tried to use a game controller over Bluetooth and it is less than ideal. The controller was slow and disconnected mid game play so not ideal for this purpose at all. Overall if you are looking for a light load wifi module this is an inexpensive fit to do the job.

Connect quickly and with ease!
I build and repair PCs and many times need wifi to set up or even troubleshoot errors and issues. I plug one of these in, and I can access the internet in no time. They are portable from one pc to the next, and these are way less expensive than buying a new motherboard that includes wifi. Small and compact, there are no long antennas or wires coming from it. One of the most effective parental controls I employ against unauthorized access to the internet is just removing this unit from the PC all together. (LOL) Remember, this unit is only an adapter that enables your PC or laptop to access the internet where there is internet available. It is not a hotspot or access point device. A must have for PCs and laptops that have no onboard Wifi.

Wifi works well, Bluetooth sucks
Gets the job done pretty well half the time. Sometimes it runs super bad and will lag you in games but I found switching to wifi 2 whatever that is gets the speed I need. Bluetooth is definitely wonky, cuts out a lot and there's a slight loss of quality but it works. If you need something to quickly connect to wifi and your not using Bluetooth then you'll be fine using this for a temporary solution. Wifi is the only good thing abt this though, giving me a solid connection speed enough so I don't lag in siege.
