These rugs are by far the best bedding we’ve had for our piggies. We’ve tried hay, paper, wood chips, fleece…all the things. It keeps them from constantly walking over poos, and they seem to love the feel of it on their feet or for laying around :)

The size is not real and the rug is very low quality. It is not suitable for pets, much less for guinea pigs. And I don't return it because Amazon doesn't return the money to your card, it credits it to a gift card, it's not a business for me.

This was essentially a large bath mat. It’s not waterproof, you need to use it over top of a pee pad or something similar but the piggies seemed to enjoy the feel of it.

This mat is very large and, apparently, very comfortable. My 2 guinea pigs love laying and hanging out on it. The width is a few inches short of the width of my c&c cage, but it's fine, because I just put it ontop of their normal fleece bedding. It washes well in the washing machine as well. I've gotten other (smaller) mats like this before and when washed, the material inside of it got all ripped and balled up inside of it. This mat has not done that at all. It looks and feels and lays flat just like it did before washing. The chenille is longer and more absorbent as well. I left it in their cage for about a week and it did not start smelling or anything. I just had to make sure to shake out the poops regularly (they do hide in the deep fibers, but shake out fairly easily). I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely say its a great value for the price. I will be buying another one soon so that I can add them both into my bedding rotation for their cage. I highly recommend these.

I ended up using this is my chicken nesting box for a chicken that loves coming in the house and sitting on my fav soft blanket. It did the trick and she loves it. I shake it out in the mornings and wash it weekly. Seems to be holding up well.
