So far so good
Our interior guest bathroom in our apartment not only has no ventilation, but it also houses the AC unit in the ceiling. Yikes. The last time I cleaned it, I noticed mold spots on the walls above the shower tile, so I wanted to find a way to minimize the humidity in the room. Since we do rent and we are on a budget, this seemed like the best option. Mixed reviews, but thought it was worth it to take a chance. So far, I'm pleasantly surprised by this little unit. It sits on the countertop and my husband turns it on just prior to taking a hot shower with the bathroom door mostly closed. Now when he's done, the mirror isn't fogged and that humid feeling is completely gone from the bathroom within an hour vs 1/2 day or more like it was before. It doesn't collect a ton of water in the collection bin (we dump it about once a week), but it certainly seems to do the job. I would definitely understand that this is meant for a very small space and isn't a powerhouse machine, but it can help in small rooms where you need some help controlling the humidity in the air.

Don't expect 17 oz. per day
It works reasonably well but doesn't take anywhere near 17 oz. per day from my area, more like 6 oz. I use it in an RV (approximately 3000 cubic feet) which I keep at approximately 62-68 degrees , which may account for how much it draws out. (It may do morewhen the temperature is higher). It is quiet -only a small fan - and is small enough to fit almost anywhere. I like it well enough to be purchasing a second one for the other end of the RV.

I don't know
I bought it to reduce the humidity in my bathroom that contains my home made soap. They say the soap can cure faster in lower humidity. I bought a hygrometer to try and track results. The de-humidifier removes about a tank every two weeks which seems like a lot to me. Despite the water in the tank, the hygrometer doesn't seem to detect a difference in the room. My guess is that it doesn't keep up with the airflow, but airflow is also good for soap curing. /shrug

It Works
These are quite small. Have one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. They put out a very small amount of white noise when on, that doesn't bother me at all, hardly notice. The info states that the reservoir can hold up to 17 ozs and that the unit can collect up to 8.5 ozs per day. I question that statement. I live in an area where the humidity can be down to 30% in the day and up to 98% at night. My place is very drafty, not real good insulation. My indoor hygrometers have read almost the same humidity as the outdoors. After running both of these units for 48 hours non-stop, the humidity level has dropped to the low to mid 50s. Ideal humidity is between 40-50%. The reservoirs after running straight for 48 hours only have about 2 ozs of liquid in them each. They work but I think I probably need larger units.. These are more ideal for closets and cabinets.

Works like a dream in the average sized room
Works like a dream in the average sized room. No more musty, stink from the humidity in the spare room. I was worried about the size of the water collection cup but it is fine to be emptied once a week. I have 2 and will buy more to use in the summer months. Worth every penny to not be knocked out by smell of a damp room.

All that being said the price was right and the seller has awesome customer service
No way to clean the water tank, small hole to drain water on. No way to open and clean the device - I suspect it would last alot longer if cleaning could be done on the unit. I did run it over night and got only a few drops of water. Not really humid or dry so I was expecting more moisture to be removed. I will use it to knock down humidity in our bedroom on really humid days. All that being said the price was right and the seller has awesome customer service.

Small but powerful
This small dehue is a true lifesaver !! I originally bought this hoping to cut down some of the dew in the bathroom that occurs when taking a steam shower. Little did I expect this tiny but powerful device to eliminate about 75% of the dew all together, making my bathroom cleanup a breeze. I no longer have that sludge like pink slime and this thing is extremely quiet and half the time I forget it’s even on.

Overall I am happy with the purchase
The product is now installed in our large master bathroom. It is drawing water at the rate of about 100ml/day (lower than advertised) probably because room temperature is at 79 and the nominal RH is about 60%. I assume if the nominal RH were higher at 80% the device would be drawing more moisture out of the air. The unit is whisper quiet. Overall I am happy with the purchase.
