Good grater
Grates well, not flimsy, and holding up to dishwasher so far.

Shreds mozzarella just fine
Is very stable and shreds my cheese. Whole milk mozzarella is not easy to shred although I should've froze the cheese briefly and didn't. I love Martha Stewart products. I have Martha Stewart pans I bought 20 years ago and they are still great.

Decent, bottom is a bit loose, dislike selection of hole sizes.
The lid for the bottom is a bit loose, and often comes off while shredding, making a mess. Personally I dislike the the two sizes for shredding, the largest is too large, and the smaller size is in between, too large for finely shredded cheese, to small for coarsely shredded. Would much prefer a third size to the slicing side, which always seems pointless to me, If I wanted slices, I'd use a knife.

Excellent grater.
This is a great grater for one main reason, the handle. Almost every grater I have had, with some commercial exclusions, had terrible handles. The one that this replaced was a plastic handle one that it was more comfortable to grab the base instead of the handle as the handle was a squared off plastic part with limited grip and sharpish corners.Moving on from the handle, I found that the ability to grate things was excellent. It has better standard for grated cheese sizes, and is sharp enough to cut without too much smearing/crumbling from the force required. That metric will not be what holds up, as historically all cheese graters I have owned will dull with time, as even the poor cheese grater I had before this one was excellent when I first got it even if the handle was really poorly done. This does come with a base though, and that base is great for capturing what you grate.Price is actually really where this shines. If I paid for this, it would have been the same cost range as my previous cheese grater which was around 15 dollars for my old one. This is a much better value and I absolutely can recommend it on the handle and cost aspects alone. You can get an amazing grip and maintain control of it easily from that grip instead of holding the body and the issues that entails like my old one.

Sturdy and Sharp
This box grater from Martha Stewart is not as large as the one I already have, and for that reason, I'm not sure if I want to swap the two. The grating surface area is smaller than I'm used to. Still, that says nothing negative about the grater itself. I was amazed when this arrived in an envelope, with no inner protection, and the stainless steel was not dented, not even a little. That's how sturdy this is.I love that it has a slicing side, not just another grating size. It has two differently-sized shredding sides and one grating for things such as lemon zest and finely-grated Parmesan. All sides are sharp. I love that the bottom not only holds grated/shredded food but also pops off to continue holding it. A long time ago, I had a box grater with a bottom that slid open, and the food was pushed against the grater sides and then through the bottom, making a mess that was worse than not having a bottom.I frequently use a box grater, mostly for smaller jobs that aren't worth taking out and cleaning my food processor. This pops in the dishwasher for thorough cleaning so I don't risk cutting my fingers trying to get out small particles. Except for the removable bottom, which is plastic, this grater is 100% stainless steel.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Nice big box grater!!!
I had to replace my other box grater because the handle snapped and it was not really sturdy. This Martha Stewart box grater is nice an big, It has a piece for the bottom so you can keep the food you are grating inside the grater, which I REALLY like!It went through the dishwasher great! I like the larger size as I feel it is easier to grate my food and when you are grating something like a block of cheese, it just goes faster! I love the size and the bottom piece!⭐️ 1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality, or it does not reflect the advertising.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or is not priced where it should be for the product.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable. It has some faults, but the quality is adequate for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable; it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

Well made, with thick stainless steel
I've been looking to replace a very old (40+ years) box grater. It's showing signs of rust that I am unable to clean off. I saw this Martha Stewart Box Grater and thought it would be a nice replacement. One it arrived and I unboxed it, I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality. Thick (thicker than my old one) stainless steel is used, giving it a much sturdier feel. The rounded handle is also much easier to hold than my old flat one. The new one also comes with a cap for the bottom, allowing me to trap the grated cheese inside, avoiding the need to use a plate. One difference I noticed was the size of the grating slots. On my old one, I have sides for large and medium sized grating. This one has medium and small grating slots. It's not an issue for me, but you should be aware of the differences if you're replacing an existing item.
