I was unsure about these and thought Id probably send them back, but I was surprisingly impressed, they light up under my office desk and I cant fault them. I am now building a media wall and plan buy more of these to light it.

There are quite a lot of these kind of LED lights bars on the market. Does this one stand out? Well, sort of.The kit arrives in a branded box. Inside are the six light bars, the power adaptor, the control box and cables, some sticky velcro tabs for mounting, and a set of instructions. Everything is clearly labelled and it's pretty quick and easy to get the light bars set up.One thing worth noting is that you can only make two light bars with this kit. The box shows six individual bars illuminated, which isn't possible, and some of the product photos show four long bars, which, again, you can't make with this kit.You have to slot the six bars together in a particular way, so that both bars end up with a power connector at the end, which you then connect to the control box and power adaptor. Just left slotted together, the bars are a bit flimsy, so you definitely need to permanently mount them somewhere. There's a fair amount of flex going to each bar, so it is possible to mount the bars either side of something, such as a TV or shelving unit.Basic controls can be carried out using the in-line control box. It allows you to cycle through some of the bar lighting effects and adjust brightness. You can also use it to switch on the sound reaction mode. However, to take proper advantage of everything these bars have to offer, you need to use the Govee app, which gives far greater control over colours and lighting effects. You can also control these lights with Alexa or Google Assistant, which is a nice feature.The lights look really great once you set them up in a suitable place. They're bright and the colour output is vibrant. You can certainly add a lot of ambience to a room with these. They look pretty smart when turned off too, so you don't necessarily have to conceal them behind or under something.At the time of review, these light bars are £69.99. While that's not terrible, it isn't exactly great value. Still, they are well made, nice looking lights, and Govee are a pretty reputable name when it comes to LED lighting, so I'm happy to recommend these.

Really good with lights works amazing with Alexa however had them on the wall for 1 day and the sticky pads has all ready given in for me luckily nothing is broken

Edit: this is my 3rd set as I absolutely loved the first 2.I have many many govee lights and this is another that dose not fair to impress so where to startSetting up via the app is super easy the app will even detect that's there's a new set recently plugged in near by.Once set up on app, they are supper easy connected to Alexa and or Google home ( I use Google home from my phone)Brightness, colour selection are exactly as expected with govee limitless and synced with other lights looks amazing.No flickering as any point, no compatibility issues I've come across, all available functionality work perfectly.Down side? None

Really enjoying these, they work brilliantly with the app with a tonne of control and plenty of brightness. I wish they'd make the connectors more secure, I'm using these as movable lights, so I've had to build my own bracings for them.

The media could not be loaded. I had heard good things about Govee's smart lights and I was enthusiastic to try out this set through the Amazon Vine programme.The first thing I noticed was the packaging - everything was very well labelled to make it easy to understand the various elements that make up the kit.They come in 6 tubes and the set is designed to use them in 2 pairs of 3. In my case, my intended use for them was to have under and on top of one of my kitchen cupboards, but unfortunately I only had room for two sets of 2 tubes, but due to the modular design this doesn't make any difference and they still work in the same way. I was amazed at how light in weight the light tubes are and how simple they are to connect together.The light tubes come with pre-attached sticky pads, which are sandwiched with velcro to allow to you remove them and reattach from the wall or surface. They also have a pull-tag to allow you to fully remove them without the frustration of having to peel the residue of the sticky pads off. They also come with a full set of spare sticky pads - really well thought out.They were a complete joy to install and it took me about 5 mins in total! I downloaded the Govee app for iPhone and this was really easy to setup. Just make sure that you select a 2.4g Wifi hotspot, not 5g. Normally your router will show both options when you search for it on your network.What's so clever about this lighting is how good the app is and you can customise the lights as much as you want, from various scenes, colour palettes, sound-sensitive pulsing, various patterns. You can also configure 6 lighting zones on each side (12 zones in total), allowing you to have a variety of colours on each tube at the same time, like shown in one of my photos. The level of customisation is infinite, but if you want to have something more simple like a consistent colour on both, that's also easy to select.From a technology perspective, there's nothing particularly unique here compared with much cheaper multi-coloured light strips. However, what makes this product so good is the quality of the product, the attractive design of the 'tubes', the modular interlocking and last but not least, the quality of the app. You can also integrate it with Alexa and Google Home, but I didn't get that far yet as I'm happy with using the Govee app.This is a fantastic product and priced very reasonably. I will definitely be ordering more of these in the future from this brand. Highly recommended !!!
