This set is very well made. The finish is lovely and they wash well (please note, no dishwasher in our house so we hand-wash dishes). For stoneware, these are not over-heavy, which is nice. My only minor negative is that the product page shows the dishes in natural light, which brings out a beautiful green color. I find that depending on the lighting (e.g. interior of my home), they show more of a khaki color. Personally, I find khaki a bit off-putting for a dinnerware color, but 5-stars anyway because that is a personal issue and not in any way a reflection of the quality of this set.

I'm an avid stoneware collector. I adore stoneware and it's the only type of dinnerware that I prefer to use. This Porto by Stone Laine 12-piece set is stunning. The stoneware feels more authentic than other brands I've tried and maintains a classic earthiness that levels up my dinner game as a host. This is the type of stoneware that I'd pull out when my parents visit to impress them. All pieces were intact upon arrival and gorgeous right from the box. I highly, highly recommend.

As a potter and ceramist I can tell you that these stoneware scratch resistant dishes are the real deal. They are extremely durable, The ceramic coating does not scratch. I love that these are a semi matte glaze, It has a bit of texture to it. The blue is very inviting, The glaze is applied uniformly. These are a nice set of dinnerware. Washing them is nice because the texture from the glaze allows you to firmly grip them in hand washing they're not slippery. Some ceramic glazes can be beautifully smooth but dangerously slippery in water. My partner is an expert at dropping dishes and he is able to hold these dishes without dropping them. The fact that they're stoneware I don't have to worry about them cracking or breaking from thermal shock. If you don't know there's a difference there is, a lot of commercial made dishes are made of earthenware which cannot withstand constant temperature changes such as the microwave or the oven or a dishwasher. Stoneware is a more durable clay therefore it can absorb temperature changes without creating micro cracks and chips which over time can make your dishes break even just in the dishwasher. Stoneware dishes cost more because of the energy that has to be used to make it durable. It's higher quality clay for your dishware. Stoneware can be used in a warm oven. The trick to making it last longer is putting your dish in a cold oven and then turning on the heat. This helps avoid stress on the clay.This is a very nice set of quality dishes, but pottery made in Portugal usually is better quality.

I got this set to replace my old family set, so far all the stoneware has been good, no issues in quality, they haven't stained or chipped, I haven't had any accidents with them. They looks great and work with whatever meals I make, not much more to say.

From the packaging to the quality of the stoneware, this set is amazing. However, the color is not what I was expecting at all. Instead of cream, it is more of a brownish beige that doesn't go with our decor. However, my disappointment is another family member's gain, and they loved the color.

We've been using these now for a little over a month and they've held up very well! Each has been run through dishwasher cycle several times there's been no chipping or fading of the finish. The bowls themselves are shallow but wide so they still hold quite a bit of food. The set comes with dinner plates salad plates and bowls. These are stoneware and because they are they've got a nice heavy feeling to them which makes me feel as though they'll be usable and around for a long time. The matted finish itself just lens to the pleasing aesthetic of the set. Frankly I have a set of crate and barrel dinnerware that was much more expensive and I find it hard to say that I don't prefer this set over that.
