Sweetmeet Women's 1940s Vintage Rockabilly Ball Gown Flared Dress Swing Skaters

I loved this dress, I am of a larger persuasion and find it hard to find dresses that are flattering, I was extremely happy to find that this dress was a comfortable fabric, it was stretchy enough that it fit snug but still allowed you to breath etc, really flattering length and most importantly the shape of the cut meant it actually made my body shape look curvy as opposed to bumpy. Would highly recommend and will be looking for more dresses via this seller in the future :-)

Well made & perfect for40's Ww2 look. Lovely colour & good design(authentic pleating on bust area) The only down side is it arrived terribly creased. Even hanging garment over a couple of days creases didn't fall. A shame as material is thick enough. Overall though after pressing very pleased with fit & look.

Looks ridiculous on anyone with a hint of a chest as the top half is smaller than it seems, so will not finish on the waist as it does in the image. The fit otherwise was good, but had to return.Fabric is also quite stiff, so will not flow like a normal swing dress

Awful dress. Doesn’t match the picture or the description. It’s supposed to be fitted and flattering around the waist and chest but it’s completely odd shape around the chest and baggy. The fabric is awful and should not ever be used for a dress of this style. It’s thick stretchy fabric that is usually used for skinny fit trousers or leggings. It’s far too thick and stiff to create the flattering draping effect that is shown in the picture. Returned the dress.

Lovely stretchy dress which I am wearing now &It looks good (the day of delivery). I am 5ft3 & a size 14+ so ordered XL which is very slightly baggy & 4" below my knee, I would like to try a L to see if it fits better however it comfy & I love the dress as is too. Recommend. X

This dress arrived promptly, colour beautiful, fabric great...and then I tried it on. Width-wise it fitted perfectly everywhere. But the photo shows the bust "v" coming down to the breast-bone and the dress I got it was up by the collar bones, so the bust shaping was all about 4" too high! I'm an "off the peg" kinda girl - things usually just fit me. I am average height, slim build but I think this dress is made for someone less than 5' tall, else how would the bust be in the right place? It's going back...

It fitted the purpose of buying it , it was for a drama set in the 1940’s, the material was quite thick and difficult to iron but that was much better than having thin and rubbish material as it was for under bright lights on stage

The material is quite heavy so great for winter/ autumn. A little large in the fit, bit the material is stretchy so not a big problem. A little longer than expected hit that’s the style I guess.

This is such a weird-fitting dress. It looks nothing like the images, unfortunately. I got it for my youngest girl who's easily a Small/X-Small and it was too tight in both the bust and waist but too large in the shoulders and hit at a really unattractive place on her legs (she's 5'2"). It was also missing the ribbon that was supposed to go at the waist.She did like the fabric and lace, although I thought they seemed a little scratchy and, well, *inexpensive* to semi-steal a term from Project Runway. I honestly can't tell you what body type this dress would be good for; maybe I should have sized up for her knowing how some of these overseas companies measure things but the girl's a toothpick and it should have been okay for her. Overall, we both were disappointed with this one.

This is a GREAT dress! It is a heavy, stretchy fabric that hangs well. I bought according to my measurements, and the dress fits perfectly. The stitching is even, and there are no stray threads hanging out. I have so often been disappointed by clothes bought online, but this is a quality dress, and I am very pleased.

Mit größerer Oberweite bzw. in größeren Konfektionsgeößen nicht zu empfehlen. Die Körbchengröße dürfte meiner Einschätzung nach max. C sein, wenn nicht weniger, damit dieses Kleid gut sitzt.
