There are some great cuts on this CD
There are some great cuts on this CD, but my copy has some mistakes in the labelling and does not include Snooky Pryor's REAL FINE BOOGIE, which is on the label. This exclusion causes a mislabelling of all subsequent songs, which is confusing. Also, when I seek info about this album on the Internet, they mention that WHEN THE CAT'S GONE THE MICE PLAY by Jr. Wells is a copy of MESSIN' WITH THE KID. On my copy it is a two harp instrumental shuffle with no resemblance to that song. The CD has no credits, which is a shame, because every cut is great, and I would like to know who the players are. I would highly recommend it, although you will have to relabel it, like I did. I would also like to know what the real name is of WHEN THE CAT'S GONE... and who's playing on it. There's a great version of Sonny Boy Williamson's TAKE YOUR HAND OUT OF MY POCKET with just him and a bass player, with a little bit of piano in the background. The Sonny Terry cut, RIDE AND ROLL is a nice boogie with a driving band behind him. This collection is representative of a lot of different harp styles, some of which you may have heard, some of which have never been released before.
