Most of the other life jackets for dogs that I read the reviews, specifically state that they won't keep the dog's head above water and that they raise the back end of the dog while lowering the head into the water. Does this life jacket keep the dog's head above water, or does it force it down into the water?

Great bounacy aid and the only one we found to fit the' stretched limo' pooch, was a snug and comfortable fit and idn't slop about his body when swimming. Great quality and excellenty priced. Delivery was a bit slow but worth the wait

If you look at the pictures in the reviews you will we that the vest is mostly on the front half of the dog. Allowing the chest to float and the butt to sink results in raising the head as long as the dog is conscious.
