At last, a toaster that does what it's meant to. This is the fourth toaster I've tried since my ancient but excellent Russell Hobbs toaster died last month. I ordered a new RH toaster - I should have looked closer before ordering. The slots were too short for a slice of bread!! It seems that most toasters are made too small for bread these days? Why?!I ordered another RH toaster with longer slots. It claimed to have "new faster toasting technology". It lit up like an industrial furnace, producing charcoal crusts and raw middle. Useless.A third RH toaster went bang on the second use. Goodbye Russell Hobbs..More research found thisTower Infinty toaster. The slots are long enough. It toasts nice and slow. I mostly eat genuine baker-made 100% wholemeal bread. It doesn't toast the same as factory bread, but this toaster toasts it perfectly. If I just toast one slice it will be slightly lighter on the side facing the middle element so I turn it round for a moment more. It's not a problem. I'm happy with this toaster. It looks good and it makes proper toast. Even better, I got it as an open-box deal for £18.

So it looks nice but no matter what you do with the settings this thing does not toast the break evenly. You get different cookedness on each side of the bread and at each end of the slice. You have to rotate and toast twice.A full cycle in the toaster is not enough to fully brown toast too, it's weak and annoying.My old £10 toaster did a far superior job to this. Only reason we changed was tht we have a nice new kitchen and wanted something that looked good. This certainly looks better than it works.Also it STINKS when you toast things for a very long time after you first use it.NOT RECOMMENDED

After our toaster stopped working suddenly, I searched for an alternative that could handle a slice of Warburtons bread without us having the flip the bread mid-way through toasting to get it fully toasted.Glad to confirm, this toaster will accept Warburtons in 'landscape', but not 'portrait'.The toaster take a really long time to toast, and it also needs to be turned up far higher than one might assume for mid brown colour (on a 1-6 scale, the knob needs to be at 5 to be anything other than really pale and crusty)

Very good toaster for the price. The only fault I find is that it does not brown the toast quite enough at the top edges. This seems to be a problem with most, but this one, Tower, Is good value for money in my opinion.

Love it-can fit the bread perfectly!!Bought an new toaster 8 weeks ago and drove me nuts as even the smaller loaf I buy wouldn’t fit in without the top sticking out. Sent it to the Charity Shop and replaced it with this one 👍

I won’t recommend this one as I am on the 3 toaster. I have been replaced a couple of times I am expecting this one will last at least a year. The first one only lasted about 2 months and second one lasted about 6 months, metal to pull toaster in isn’t very strong that after a few months is then won’t work, toaster won’t stay in. I though I would have another go, they say 3rd time is a luck charme😂. The good thing is that amazing have been great about it and replacing it without questioning and that’s why I am giving 3 star.
