Gordon Ellis Derby Prima Super Toilet Seat 2-inch

If I could give a zero star rating for this toilet aid I would, but it seems I can't!I bought the product according to previous good reviews and on the basis that the product description stated that the seat was compatable with any toilet. But, after attempting to to install the seat itself, it wad soon discovered that this was not the case.On a standard size toilet such as I have the seat proved to be impossible to fully secure. This was because when the seats securing mechanism had reached its maximum clamping tension the seat itself would in fact begin to lift off, that was until a final turn actually caused the seat itself to bounce and totally disconnect from the standard ceramic toilet that it was intended for. After several attempts at trying to secure the toilet at a bit less tension the seat proved to be just outright dangerous. Because after attempting to sit on it the seat slid off toward the right hand side and if it hadn't have been for a friend who was testing it at the tim it could have caused a serious accident to say the least. It was then that it was evident that all was lost and the only thing to do was to organise a return of these faulty, dangerous aids (I did buy two in good faith), which was not a problem via Amazon Prime.Personally, if I were you, I wouldn't bother taking the risk purchasing this faulty aid. Because not only (in my opinion) are they dangerous and should be subject to much further vigorous and stringent health and safety tests before anymore are sold, they proved to be extremely uncomfortable too.Fact: one of the worst purchases that I have ever made anywhere!Don't waste your money. More importantly, avoid at all costs if severely disabled and invest a little extra for peace of mind regarding safety issues!

Had this seat for when my mother comes to visit , as she would never stay very long, than we worked out why.My toilet was to low for her,It was easy to fit and is secure. This simple thing has made such a difference for her.

I am very pleased with this seat. The fittings are excellent and once put in place it never moves.
