many versatile uses
I've been using few drops in this in my diffuser and it smells really nice, I like that I can use it for smells but also I can add drops in my moisturiser too for my body or hands and that will add the oil moisturisation aspect to it and also give it a scent to stick onto you for a while.

Good for my Needs…..
I was really pleased to have the opportunity to order this peppermint essential oil.I make my own cleaning and toiletry products, which means I use a lot of essential oil. Peppermint is one of my favourites. I also regularly spray a peppermint mixture throughout my home as a spider deterrent. This oil smells lovely - I also drop a few drops on a cotton wool ball in my kitchen bin, which freshens up the odours a littleI would order again and a happy to recommend

Pleasant fragrance
Good peppermint oil from a well known brand. It has a lovely fragrance, not too pungent as some are.Peppermint oil has many uses around the home and I use it for cleaning, and to deter spiders etc, so I always try to keep a bottle at hand.10ml is the standard bottle size for essential oil and this price is a perhaps a little more than others. But others I have bought have not been as nice as this one. Some are too mild, some too sharp or pungent. This is a brand that is stocked on the high street in retail stores so I know the oil is what it says it is.

Nice peppermint scent to fill the air
This bottle was just the right size to fill my "Waterless diffuser for essential oils". In fact I thought for a second that the bottles were swappable, but the Dr Organic bottle was just that bit too tall (even though emptying from one to the other went just fine). It puts out a very pleasant peppermint smell that is a lot like a stick of souvenir rock from Edinburgh or Blackpool. I enjoy sending out this smell for a few hours in my home office.

This is Cornmint - NOT peppermint
First thing's first. Although this is labelled and sold as peppermint oil, it is not peppermint oil. It is cornmint oil. Peppermint is "Mentha piperita", and this is "Mentha arvensis". There are lots of different kinds of mint, and just like spearmint is different from peppermint, this too is something different. I actually find it quite disappointing that a respectable company like Dr Organic would mis-label and mis-represent a product like this.Mentha arvensis is known by several names including corn mint, field mint, wild mint, Banana mint, Thai mint, Japanese mint, Chinese peppermint or Brazilian peppermint.Their chemical composition is a little different:"Cornmint essential oil has a penetrating minty aroma that is more bitter than the Piperita variety. It also has a higher menthol content.""The essential oil of M. arvensis is made up of 30 to 50% menthol, 15 to 30% menthone, 3 to 10% menthyl acetate, and 1 to 5% other terpenes, whereas in M. × piperita, menthol accounted for about 36%, menthone 21%, menthyl acetate 7%, eucalyptol 7%, isomenthone 5%, neomenthol 4%, menthofuran 3%, D-limonene 2%, b-caryophyllene 2%, pulegone 1%, and b-pinene 1% "You can read more about these two in the paper "Mentha arvensis and Mentha × piperita-Vital Herbs with Myriads of Pharmaceutical Benefits " by Wei et al 2022 in the Journal of Horticulturae.Although different, there are overlaps of cornmint with peppermint in terms of herbal effects and uses , so you could probably use them for similar things. In terms of this specific product: It comes in a dark glass bottle which is good for helping to preserve its therapeutic components. It smells lovely, fresh and natural.I find the instructions provided which tell you to dilute it with water for skin application to be surprising and a little alarming - because oil and water don't mix... I believe that for skin application you're meant to dilute essential oils with other carrier oils to dilute their strength properly so that it doesn't cause any burning - in something like olive oil, or sesame oil - things like that. How can a company selling a product not know how to use their own product properly? A little concerning.Overall, this is probably a 5 star corn mint essential oil - it smells amazing - but because of my disappointment at the mis-labelling and the poor instructions, I couldn't give this 5 stars.

Trusted brand, quality oil, nice scent
Dr Organic 10ml peppermint essential oil in recyclable packaging. The oil is made from organic ingredients and is fully vegan. It can be used on the body or in baths but must be diluted before use. It can also be used in defusers for a fresh natural fragrance.Being Dr Organic, this is a brand you can trust and is a quality product, made in the UK. It has a lovely natural scent of mint that is fresh and uplifting. At 10ml this is a standard size for natural oils, although you can sometimes find 30ml bottles.I hope you found this review helpful.

Subtle but pleasant
This little, 10ml glass bottle comes very well packaged and sits within a cardboard cradle within a bigger cardboard box with a safety cap and a security seal on it.Unlike a bottle of Eucalyptus oil that I received, there was zero leakage of the peppermint oil from the bottle during transportation. As I noted on the other review, I put the leakage more down to rough handling during transportation than any deficiency on the part of the packaging (or the manufacturer). If I were to compare the two oils, I would say I actually prefer the Eucalyptus oil over the peppermint. This is purely because the Eucalyptus is by far the strong of the two aromas. This peppermint oil is far subtler. That's not to say that peppermint doesn't have its own distinctive, clean smell, just that a little Eucalyptus makes more impact.10ml may not sound like much but you only need a few drops. If you are looking for a subtle scent then this peppermint oil is potentially more what you are looking for.
