a different color than the machine parts that create a product, and I knew this--the black very easily scratches off. The matte black color was an impetus in buying this product. I like different. I like black. But after one use, the lever where one presses down on the clipper wore the paint off of the lower piece. As mentioned, I wondered if this would likely happen. So that's on me. The carrying case is nice, as well as the file, and second, larger toe nail clipper. Even works well with my dogs claw clipping needs. They do the job, but quickly ruin the fun of a matte black product (ooh, poor me :P). This is very minor in terms of functionality so I'd leave it up to the consumer to decide if the black color wears away. I have OCD so this issue with paint/powder coat is a lean towards my high expectations. Happy Clipping!!

Pretty but almost useless on toenails
The larger clipper (for toenails) uses steel that is too thin and/or too flexible to cut men's toenails and/or the knives are dull. On any portion of a big toenail except right across a corner, the lever bends to the maximum, but the knives do not cut. The steel on the larger clipper appears to be the same thickness as used on the fingernail clipper; OK for the fingernails, but useless on toe nails.

Premium Quality Nail Clippers!
I admit to buying grooming products on a regular basis but this nail clipper set was the best nail care set I've ever purchased! The hand and toenail clippers were super sharp and cut very well while the file helped me shape my nails with ease. I even tried it out on my kid's toes and it worked great. I love the travel/storage case as well!

Great for travel
My husband travels for work quite a bit, and we only had one nail clipper set between the two of us. I bought this for him to keep in his travel bag at all times so he wouldn't ever forget it. The case makes it very convenient for travel and it came packaged really nicely too.

Great clippers, but the case is a bit of a waste. The case is described as a "travel case", but using the case means they occupy significantly more space.They cut uniformly and the blades are sharp.

They are sharp, and they cut dry nails just as good as wet nails
Best nail clippers I've owned. Can't believe I've been using the crap ones I bought at Walmart for 10 yrs.

Really like the clipper set
Really like the clipper set. Very good quality and comes packaged in a great little travel case. Makes a great gift for the student going off to college or anyone that's needs a set of clippers.
