The book came exactly as advertised, excellent book in excellent condition. I've always loved the Harry Potter series, and owning several copies felt important to me.

The quality of these Junior Folio Harry Potter paperbacks is excellent. I have all seven of them in French and couldn’t be happier with the quality, both physical and editorial. Highly recommend.

This book is wonderful and is one of the best ways to study French. It is by far the best and most enjoyable learning tool for its cost. The vocabulary is just diverse enough to stretch the dedicated student, but comes in the midst of an engrossing story which will draw any reader through chapters and chapters of beloved story. The familiarity of Harry Potter is a great asset in reading this book, as it can help you understand the story and figure out unfamiliar words. Also, it motivates you to read the entire thing from start to finish. Harry Potter is highly entertaining in any language and will provide a great learning experience. I read this book for fun in English, and it was still fun when I read it in French. Learning the language just comes as a nice bonus.

Purchased this Livre Audio (French language audio book) as a gift for a Harry Potter fan taking HS French 3. The recordings are high quality with a native French speaker, so it makes following the familiar story easy. Because the story is familiar, you can perfect your ear and accent. If the mp3's are loaded onto an ipod, you can adjust the speed of the speech to make it easier to understand.

Adler's Foreign Books is the best book seller I've dealt with in a very, very long time. Package arrived within about 4 days, well before the earliest estimated delivery date. Book in beautiful condition, as described! Makes my review of French grammar & vocab so much fun, translation seems excellent.

This book takes a bit more effort to read than the earlier books in the series. You'll want your French dictionary two or three times on each page until about the last fifty pages. Even in the final scenes I wanted to check at least one definition per page. At 774 pages, that's a lot of solid descriptive vocabulary. Most of us know the story by heart in English, so it's not to hard to decipher words in context, but those who are ready to care about shades of meaning will find this book a good source of new words to chew on.As a few others have observed, there are a few places where the French version makes more sense than the English version. The most noticeable one is the story of the seven locks on Maugrey's (Moody's) trunk. This may result from the slower pace required to decipher the foreign language. While it took several times as long for me to read this in French, I found it more enjoyable than reading it in English.

All of the Harry Potter books are very good. J.K. Rowling is a proficient writers with a keen intellect and a vast knowledge of human nature. I've only read the books in French but I've seen the movies in Engish. The books are better than the movies in my opinion and and the movies are top drawer.

It felt like I'm reading the book for the first time again. I noticed the French version uses a lot of rare words but it's alright.

Não importa o idioma, a série Harry Potter é maravilhosa. Já a li em português e inglês várias vezes, li o primeiro volume em italiano e agora estou lendo a série toda em francês. Está me ajudando a fixar o aprendizado do francês, já que conheço a história e adquiro vocabulário e aprendo mais me divertindo.
