The Very Best Of Poco

Great album

An excellent compilation of Poco's work during the Richie Furay years (1969 - 73) and just beyond with some tracks from the final 2 Epic label albums recorded as a quartet before the band moved to ABC. Fans of The Eagles who have not heard Poco should buy this to hear the blueprint for what would become the country rock sound of the 70's. Some great songs here including Furay's Just For Me And You, A Good Feelin' To Know, Timothy Schmidt's Here We Go Again and Paul Cotton's Bad Weather among the many highlights.There's some great steel guitar from Rusty Young who plays it just when it's required without overdoing it and also contributing some fine dobro, thus creating the true West Coast country rock sound. A must buy for fans of great music!

I have the original vinly version of this CD..all i can say is, it introduced me to the amazing music of Poco, and is one of my most treasured records. Barry Matthews
