I got this because i have been reading so many disturbing articles about micro/nano plastics in plastic water bottles, and as i have only recently started drinking actual water, as opposed to artificially sweetened zero-calorie sparkling water. I had been buying flats of water from Costco. Husband was dubious “Why would you buy that, when we have such awesome water here?” (Alaska)So i jumped on the water bottle bandwagon, having sneered at people in the past for carrying these things around like they were fashion items. I currently feel like i will knock them sideways with this amazing thing. They’ll all be like “Wow! Love that where did you get it?” (Amazon, of course, always Amazon)This is my first (and it’s going to be my only) water bottle. It is SERIOUSLY impressive, with many little gadgets and features that impress me hugely.Obviously though, it’s not just for water, and comes with 2 other types of lid, so you can also carry hot foods like soups and stews if you want, or a sort of canteen style opening, for just guzzling from the bottle neck. and in Alaska, we go on long road trips, sometimes with a lack of food options, so this is a great benefit to me, as i make lots of lovely home-made soups. I’ve not tested the heat retaining aspect yet, (but i feel confident because i read the 1st review which gives it excellent feedback, so i trust that)I love the little compass, the whistle, the little toothed cutter, the paracord handle, the belt loop, the loop on the other side, like this is an excellent water (and other liquids) bottle, and it is massive too. I noticed it comes in even larger sizes, and at this price, I’m considering getting another. Here’s also a long adjustable strap, that attaches to both sides, so you can carry this crossbody style, which appeals to me no end. The carabiner is great so you can attach your keys, instead of scrabbling around in your purse for them.My one issue, was that i had difficulty extracting the little package from the inside of the bottle, that contained the paracord handle for the top of the bottle, and then i almost broke my fingers attaching it to the bottle. I appreciate that it needs to be attached tightly, but i just could not get it on by myself (58 year old female, and not very strong hands) and i had to get my husband to do it. This issue is not enough that i would reduce any stars in my review, it’s too good of an item.The price. It is highly competitive, actually amazing for all of it’s wonderful features.This is my best Amazon item i have gotten lately. I seriously LOVE this thing, and it would make an awesome gift for a hiker, walker, gym rat. Or just a fashion-conscious person, (it comes in lots of lovely colours) who wants to look cool like me. I recommend it 100%

I am a hydrophile so I am constantly drinking water, but most tumblers I have found either don't have a large enough capacity so I have to fill up multiple times a day, or they don't keep the water cold and I have to keep adding ice. They also seem to be top heavy and prone to always tipping over, even when the force acting upon them is no greater than an ant sneezing, so I was very excited to come across this one and ordered it right away.Pros:-Sturdy construction and good insulation. It will hold ice all day even when outside in high heat.-Comes with different lid options. You get 3 different lid types, one solid lid with no holes or openings, one with a single, larger opening, and one with a smaller opening but fitted with a removeable straw. I generally use the one with the straw mainly so I don't have to lift it up over my head to pour some liquid in my mouth and because my teeth are sensitive to cold so I can take long pulls without the cold touching my teeth. The straw lid also has a silicone cover on it so when you take a sip it's much softer than just the hard, plastic straws and less dangerous. Take it from someone who has stabbed herself with a tumbler straw hard enough to leave a scar.-Also comes with a compass on a braided paracord handle, a decorative sticker, a bristle brush to clean the straws and other narrow passages, and a koozie-like sleeve that slips over the bottle and zips in to help maintain temp.-One of my favorite extras is that it comes with an adjustable cross body strap. I love having my hands free so I hate even having to carry a purse, let alone a heavy water bottle, so having the adjustable straps means I can wear it without having to constantly hold it.This bottle might seem a little pricey ($32 at time of review) but it includes a lot of extra accessories, andas long as it lasts longer than 1 year then it will totally be worth it (will update as new information arrives).

On a Sunday I filled with ice water and was out in the heat for five hours. Returned home with the bottle and set on the counter half full. Went to empty it on Wednesday and there was still ice inside. Definitely keeps things cold.Does leak a little around the cap. No gasket in package
