Green Clear are a Premium Brand UV Bulb, Not to be Confused with many cheaper versions on the market! UV lamps used for sterilisation purposes should be replaced every 6 months ( approx 4000 hours) Lamps used for clarification of ponds can be replaced every 12 months ( approx 8000 hours) When changing UV lamp we recommend that Quartz Sleeve is cleaned at same time. These Replacement UV bulbs are not for aquarium use. Pond clarifiers only. (please be aware not to look at any UV bulbs with the naked eye)

Not sure whether it is working okay.
I'm not sure about this lamp. My pond usually clears within a few days but after several weeks of this lamp the pond is still cloudy - the lamp is definitely alight as I can see the usual blue glow where the input hose connects.I have now got to replace the entire filter assembly as the top cover over the electrics broke due to ageing - it was about 15 years old so can't complain - so will be getting a new lamp etc. which will show whether this lamp is duff or I have something else wrong with my pond.

Lasted well
I've brought these a few times. They have lasted longer than the one's from the garden centre, and they are half the price.

Package let’s product down.
The product itself looks great but the way it is packaged needs some rethinking. As the bulb is glass there is no extre packaging inside the delivery box. The as it’s a Royal Mail delivery posted through the door (nothing to say it’s FRAGILE). This order is a spare for when my existing bulb breaks so can’t test this new one until then. Let’s hope it works!!!! When the time is right.

Easy to fit
Fitted it, worked for a couple of days then the bulb blew, On checking light unit found a short on it so that is what blew the bulb, Replaced lighting unit.

Dreadful product- avoid
Initial order- both broke while being fitted - very fragile.2nd order - one was broken. The other looked OK but causes circuit to trip. Very dissatisfied! There is no option to return.
