game-changer for anyone who spends long hours at their desk
The BenQ ScreenBar Pro is a game-changer for anyone who spends long hours at their desk. This sleek LED monitor light provides excellent illumination without taking up any extra space. The ultrawide illumination is perfect for lighting up my entire workspace, and the adjustable brightness and color temperature make it easy to customize the lighting to my needs. The motion sensor is a fantastic touch—it automatically turns on when I sit down, adding an extra level of convenience. The build quality is premium, and the modern design blends seamlessly with my setup. I also appreciate that the glare-free light doesn’t reflect on my monitor, which makes it perfect for long work sessions or nighttime use.Setup was incredibly simple, and the light stays securely in place on my monitor without any need for screws or clamps. While it’s on the pricier side, the functionality and quality make it worth every penny. If you’re looking to upgrade your workspace lighting, the BenQ ScreenBar Pro is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

Very good
I'm using my ScreenBar Pro with a 27" monitor. Top of the monitor is about 3/4" wide, and the light is solid and stable. Materials and build quality are very good. The touch sensitivity of the controls is good, and all the necessary adjustments are there. I can dial in my preferred brightness and color very easily, and I can even save the profile. Light projection and coverage is excellent, just as advertised. The Auto Presence Detection feature is very convenient and seems to work well. The sensor distance is perfect. The Auto Dimming Mode feature is interesting, it adjusts brightness and color. I’m still experimenting with it, but I think I like it. Overall, I like this light bar. I feel the price is a bit high, but it’s definitely a very good light bar.

A Game-Changing Addition to My Workspace
The BenQ ScreenBar Pro (Black) has revolutionized my desk setup. This sleek monitor light provides exceptional illumination without taking up any precious desk space. The auto-dimming feature adjusts perfectly to ambient light, reducing eye strain during long work sessions. I love the touch-sensitive controls that allow easy adjustment of brightness and color temperature. The motion sensor for automatic on/off is a thoughtful addition that saves energy. The wide illumination area covers my entire workspace, even with my ultrawide monitor. The build quality is top-notch, and the black finish blends seamlessly with my setup. If you're looking to upgrade your workspace lighting, the BenQ ScreenBar Pro is an excellent investment that combines functionality with style.

Perspective of a Software Developer
Surprisingly effective (or I’m gaslighting myself). I’ve noticed less eye strain despite continuous staring at the monitor for my software development job. I work through the day (never in the dark) and this is still beneficial to me.The auto on-off function works pretty well but it’s a little weird and will obviously turn off if you aren’t moving enough, as is to be expected. You can manually turn the screen bar off when you’re done using it (even in auto on-off mode) and the icon will flash for thirty seconds to indicate that it won’t turn on from motion until it’s done. The automatic brightness feature also changes the temperature to match ambient light (from what I’ve observed) and it works really well and updates pretty quickly and smoothly. I always have this setting turned on.The angles and range of light and range of motion are nice and while I only use this for coding and whatnot, it would also work well for reading and writing through any part of the day. It’s easy to use and you can just tap or tap and hold the icons on the bar to adjust your settings. The screen bar is pretty stable and doesn’t really move when you tap it to change settings. It’s also really easy to adjust and the clamp system enables it to fit on almost any monitor.Overall, pretty good purchase but I’d only buy one if you’re going to use it a lot since it’s a little pricy (but justifiably so). Extremely well-packaged. Ignore my bad cable management and weird floor.

Game Changing and Significantly Improved
Honestly it's hard to understand how great this thing is without seeing its light output in person. It lights up a very large area around my monitor with bright, even light, and because of where it sits on the monitor, there are almost never shadows getting in the way of whatever you're trying to read/see/etc. I can't recommend it enough. It's definitely not cheap, but I do think it's worth it. The only thing I'd change is that I do wish the cable were a removable USB-C cable instead of a captive one. That way you could use the cable length of your choice, swap it if damage occurs, etc. Other than that, I really do think it's perfect. This came out a couple days after I'd just bought the original Screen Bar, before that one was even delivered. I was curious what the difference would be so ordered this too, planning to compare them and keep whichever one I liked better. This one is dramatically better. The light is brighter, the motion sensing is cool, and, most importantly to me, the interface is dramatically improved. The original had brightness and color temp buttons that you clicked to cycle through, but there was no indicator to show you what 'step' of the color/brightness scale you were at, so it was hard to go to a specific setting reliably. This one makes it easy with the scale, and the favorite button is a great feature. Also, the whole design just looks a little better imo, and I think the weight design is improved and less awkward.I didn't feel great about buying this in the moment because of the price, but I can't imagine going back to a regular lamp now.

Perfect quality
Excellent quality. It takes a few seconds to turn off with the proximity detection turned on. Light is very even and I feel no heat, so it's very efficient. Using it on a curved widescreen, a 57" monitor. But it's deep enough to be effective even with curved monitors.
