Great height-adjustable grill grate!
Long time ago I had an old Sunbeam square grill that had an adjustable height charcoal tray. You can lower the charcoal tray when the charcoal is very hot and raise the tray up when you need more heat. What a great idea! I then bought a Weber 22 1/2-Inch Performer Grill few years ago and always wondered why Weber did not have this feature of adjusting the height of the charcoal grate. I figured a Charcoal grate works better than a charcoal tray but it is harder to adjust as far as height (compared to a closed-bottom charcoal tray)...Well , this GrillUp grate is the solution to this problem, by simply turning it (with the BBQ tongs) clockwise/counter-clockwise to make it go up or down while you are BBQing... One trick is to adjust it high enough to be flush with the edge of the grill to put those large skewers with wooden handles and still be able to close the lid. You can also do this same trick to use a BBQ spatula going from the edges which you can never do with the Weber original grate.... A very well thought off and very well built(heavy duty) product! This is the best thing you can get for your Grill... Also, Lock and Lube supports this product very well and are top-notch!One caveat, is that on the Weber 22.5 performer which has the lid holder on the sides, the bolts that are used to mount the holder protrude about a quarter inch and there are 2 bolts. The bolts tend to make the GrillUp a bit harder to go to its lowest height setting as it will tend to touch these 2 bolts. One workaround I haven't tried yet, is to remove the lid holder bolts and use the screw head (smaller than the bolt) on the inside of the grill and the bolts on the outside. I haven't tried this workaround yet but I think it will work but will require some tinkering... A regular 22inch grill (without a lid holder) will not have this issue...Update to original review: Weber lid holder has top 2 screws as part of the holder, not seperate physical screws like i originally thought... So this workaround is not going to fix this issue. I will check with GrillUp tosee if they have any ideas and update later...Again, in conclusion, this is the best thing you can get for your Grill!

Say goodbye to burned foods on your weber.
If you only own one weber accessory, this needs to be it. It will give you precise temperature control and will allow you to prevent burning and scorching.Four stars and not five because it's a little flimsy and the the bars on the grate are thinner than i expected. Otherwise, this is really a terrific product and not at all gimmicky.

Perfect for campfires!
I actually purchased this for camping to fit in the provided 22” tire rim fire pits on most camp sites...works and fits perfectly! I also purchased a 24” cymbal carrier bag for $18 that works great for carrying it and it has pockets for tools! The ability to spin and raise as needed is crucial for cooking on a campfire and this works great...the pic is from before I used it, but I’ve cooked 3 times on it already and it’s my favorite camping cooking tool now.

It is sturdy
I did not like that grill lowers and elevates unevenly.

Your help will be appreciated
I cannot give any review just yet because there were some indispensable parts missing in my package, which are: the spiral shaft and the button head screw. Not your fault but the package got ripped in one corner and, I guess, the mentioned parts got lost. Could you, please, help me to have them replaced?I bought the “Grill Up” because, in my opinion, it is a great idea and a clever design. I look forward getting the parts and try the “Grill up” a first use. Thank you in advance for your help.

Live new again!
I don't know why Weber doesn't charge an extra ten bucks and give you a stainless grill in the first place. Between this and a new set of easy-clean louvers, my grill is like new. (No grill is "easy to clean," but this is as good as it gets and you don't have to worry about scraping off your chrome plating. The raise/lower feature is cool too, especially if you want to smoke/barbecue indirect at low temps. Ribs come out great, with a few green apple twigs from time to time.

THE Grill to Have
Just a wonderful product. Solid & well-made, it works exactly as described. Very sturdy, so the expectation is that it will serve us well for a number of years - great value from that. Completely satisfied.
