Please note, the customer review stating this tool was not up to the job was not using it correctly, the customer was placing the olive into the tool, not the nut AND olive. The OlivePullOff tool removes 15mm copper or brass olives and compression rings from copper pipes in seconds. It can be used one handed for greater safety when working off the ground or when you just need that other hand free. This tool is easier & more versatile to use than other olive removal devices, as it does not rely on cutting, threads or screwing onto a compression nut. It pulls off olives whether the compression fitting nut threads are BSP, Metric or non-BSP. This is a pick up and use tool. Fit the 17mm slot in the top end of the tool onto the nut & olive to be removed, ensuring the end of the plunger is aligned with the copper pipe. Then, no screwing, twisting or turning; just squeeze the handles together to remove the olive from the pipe! Although not essential, we recommend using penetrating oil to lubricate the pipe and olive. This makes removal easier as less force is required. The greater majority of olive removal jobs are on 15mm pipes, which the OlivePullOff does brilliantly. For other pipe sizes, we manufacture an adapter kit to remove 10mm & 22mm olives. This is available as an add-on to the OlivePullOff tool or as part of the OlivePullOff ToolKit. Please note, the Customer who left a 1 star rating did not use the tool correctly, the correct way is to insert the olive AND nut between the jaws, not just the Olive.

Nice product and did what I wanted by removing some old olives from my radiator pipes. The claimed single handed operation is optimistic as some of the stubborn olives took a lot of effort to remove. Its great advantage is that it does not screw onto the old fitting, mine had some odd screw thread so I needed this unit as the usual type of olive pullers work by screwing onto the existing nut. Only 4 stars as the handles open wide so it is quite hard to exert the necessary force to close them.
