Peter Rabbit

This is not the classic Peter Rabbit story. It's a completely different story featuring Beatrix Potter's creations. If you're looking for a Beatrix Potter classic, or for something that teaches your child hidden lessons, this is not it. But we were completely surprised with this very funny Peter Rabbit version, which has not only the kids, but also the adults laughing. It is very entertaining, and that, in my opinion, is all it needs to be. I just like a movie to be relaxing and fun, and this one definitely delivers.If I feel a movie is trying to teach my children a lesson or a worldview I strongly disagree with, I will not let them watch the movie, or we have a conversation about it. I do not feel that this movie is trying to convey any hidden message or low moral standard. I don't think my children will be in danger of becoming thieves from watching this movie. I can only recommend.

The movie is for the whole family!!!and it is so cute kids we love it !!!

My grandkids ages 3-12 enjoyed this movie. Nothing inappropriate, even for the little ones. I enjoyed it too.

**Item review**: Beware of Blu-ray issue. I believe I just had bad luck with this. I bought from ebay (used) & Amazon (new)...the ebay blu played halfway & then wouldn't load, the Amazon won't even recognize disc. On 2 blu-ray devices...other movie blu discs work fine on these devices. I tested my collection to make sure it was not devices.That being said they are returning and will test the next disc they send me.Did not try the code as I'm returning, both say expired in 2020 on pamphlets. Edited code out on pics just in case someone else gets this return. Sometimes they can work depending on app used.***movie review*** I really love the movie, why I need it in my collection. Lots of laughs and a good message in the end. Watched on DVD since the blu-ray wouldn't load & its a wonderful film. Kind of makes you hate rabbits at first but of course has a lovely resolution. Used one of my favorite songs from Vampire Weekend too!!Acting was superb ~~ Rose Byrne & Domhnall Gleeson are absolute gems!! Wish they were an item irl. Also Domhnall with brown hair was not as upsetting as I had imagined. They did a good job on the dye, left him strawberry brown. Yum! That man is charming, talented and gorgeous to boot!! Bless the Gleeson family! James Gorden I'm not a huge fan of but his voice was perfect for that lil rabbit brat! So cute!! Other voice overs were great, Margot with the lisp was impressive.A must-see! Detail was great even on DVD, rabbit fur/eyes and animation was pristine. Really looking forward to seeing again on Blu-ray if I can get a working disc!!

My nephew and I loved this film. It is delightful and funny. But fair warning, there is a Peter Rabbit 2 out with many of the same actors, and it was a huge disappointment to us. So stick with this dear and funny first in the Peter Rabbit series. James Cordon is the voice of Peter.

I really didn't expect to enjoy this movie. I was surprised that my wife recommended it, as it didn't have giant robots, wizards, lost treasure, mysteries, or any of the other qualities that are generally associated with a good movie night in our family. But her friends had given it a good review and she felt strongly about it, so I went along with it.I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Part of it is being with my kids, who find all of the slapstick action funny; it's contagious. But a lot of it is Domhnall Gleeson's superb acting. He manages to simultaneously nail the part of the lovestruck victim, which keeps you invested in the story, and sell the meta-humor that appealed most to me as an adult. James Cordon is nice and all, but he just had to show up in a recording booth. Gleeson had to actually be on set, and his performance doesn't just keep the movie on track, it is brilliantly funny.

I like that it comes with a digital code. You can take it anywhere.

More for adults than children (nice romance). Well done . . . excellent mix of animation and live action. LOVE IT!
