Works great
This cooler light works great. We got it to take on vacation camping. The light is bright enough to see what’s inside the cooler, even when it’s dark outside. It seems to be well made. It’s easy to install. I would buy again.

Dim light
I sort of like this product except for the fact that the light does not give off a lot of light even with a new battery installed. The concept works HAVING A LIGHT IN THE COOLER. This one did not meet my expectation. Not sure if the color of the light makes a difference, I had a purple/violet coloe

It works; wish it had a physical cut off switch. UPDATE: it falls into cooler
The media could not be loaded. I ordered the red LED light to protect night vision and (maybe) attract fewer flying insects. After I pulled the tab to connect the preinstalled batteries I noticed how sensitive this light switch is to going out of the horizontal position (see video). If the cooler is even slightly canted when stored, traveling, or in use then I'm afraid the light will turn on while the lid is shut. The light is supposed to turn off after 20 seconds, so maybe this won't cause a huge drain on the batteries....? (I tested the 20 second shutoff time - mine didn’t shut off even waiting >2 minutes).I would feel better if the light had a hardwired switch to allow the automatic on-off to be active only when the light is needed. For example, the light probably isn't needed when you're on a daytime picnic. This light uses three LR44 batteries which may be hard to find in local stores. If you start to rely of this light, I suggest you buy extra batteries in advance to have available when needed. The light is directed straight down, so the most brightly lit part of the cooler is near the cover hinge. Would it be better if the light beam was directed a little more towards the center of the cooler? I haven't filled the cooler with food/drinks/ice with this light installed so I don't know....One thing I noticed after light installation: if you have a basket sitting in your cooler it may interfere with the light assembly when you shut the lid. I installed the light in the center of my Yeti Tundra 65 lid and noticed I need to move the light to an off-center position to avoid hitting the top of my Yeti basket when closing the cooler (see video).Net net, I like this light and look forward to using it. Will be sure to have extra batteries in hand though.UPDATE: After sitting unused and closed for a month, I noticed the light assembly got unstuck from the cooler lid and fell into the cooler. This light assembly isn't waterproof, so if the cooler had been filled with icy water I expect the light would have become water-damaged. I have removed a couple more stars for this issue.

Perfect light for the later parties!
bought this as I had previously resorted to using my phone to shine inside the cooler. the light isnt overly bright and does the job!

Almost perfect
Bright enough to find drinks. Comes with a tiny patch of double sided tape to adhere to the cooler lid, I think velcro would be a much better option. It throws the light down very well.Where this falls short is the switch. It's a small ball that rolls back and forth, and when tipped in a certain direction it makes contact and turns the light on. However this switch will remain/turn on while laying horizontal, and must be tipped another 1/4" to turn the light off. If your cooler is on a flat surface the light will stay on. There's easy ways to fix this. But something to keep in mind. They must have used a cheap switch, as my ice fishing tip up lights use the same switch and do not have this problem.Cool idea, poor execution.

Does the job
This is light number 3 in a RTIC cooler. It is far more compact than the prior lights which I hope will lessen the chances of it being broken. The light attached to the cooler lid with 3M brand tap, so I expect it be there a long time. It is bright enough to allow you to find what you are looking for and that is what it is all about.

Auto On/Off !
This cooker light is a perfect addition to my Yeti. It’s not super bright to the point of distraction, but it illuminates the inside of my cooler if it’s dark or we are in the car. Also can be used as a signal beacon if you can’t remember where you left your family. Just flip the lid up and the light shines !
