Nice way to bypass atv orginal water pump

I use it for brewing
I did the brewing faux pas and didn't buy one of those fancy, expensive, magnetic drive brewing pumps for my little home brewery and instead bought this. I've been using it for a couple years now. Works great as long as you keep the hop sediment away from it. I pump boiling hot wort with this pump mounted right onto my kettle ball valve outlet (yes! The threads on the pump are 1/2" NPT, perfect size for homebrew equipment!) and through a counterflow chiller and right into the funnel filter and carboy. It's perfect. Keep a little 12v motorcycle battery on the counter and crimp in some battery terminal alligator clips and you've got a useful setup. You can even disassemble the pump to clean it.
