Confession first. I hate snails. I deal with them in my garden all the time, and see their disgusting snail trails on my concrete paver patio. Yea, gross. But there's been so much good feedback on people using snail mucin products, I decided to give it a try. I selected Revanel because I found it to be the best brand to try based on transparency and quality of reviews on their other mucin product. I also really appreciate the pump applicator for this product as I think it keeps products cleaner because I'm not sticking my finger or a small spatula directly into the jar.Once I tried this, I was super surprised at how quickly this absorbed into my skin. It looks like a cream based product, but the way it absorbed to so fast was really amazing! In less than a minute, my skin was dry to the touch, but moisturized. That's usually something that takes several minutes normally. I think that's really good if you want to layer products.But I didn't like the strong rose, powerdery, smell, it lingered on my skin even after the product was fully absorbed, although to be fair it did absorb super fast.Overall, I ended up like the product. The scent bothers me every time, but I'm almost over the snail ick-factor. I like what it does for my skin, so it's an okay trade-off.

I've tried products with snail mucin before and found them to be helpful for moisturizing my skin. This is the first time I've used one that is a cream; the others had a clear, snot like consistency. The cream is thick and...creamy.I like the jar it comes in. I unscrewed the main lid at first to see the cream. Then I noticed a cover that was atop something resembling a button. After pressing the button a couple times, cream oozed out of the little hole in the center. I guess the act of pressing the button suctions up a bit of product. Anyways I think that's a pretty cool way to get just the right amount. The cream absorbs pretty easy and doesn't seem to leave any oily residue behind. I put some around my face, mainly on my forehead, and it's working as I expected it to. My skin feels soft and moisturized after. No bad skin reactions. Couldn't really detect much of a smell, pretty much neutral. So far I think this is my favorite snail mucin product that I've tried. 5/5

I always hear such great things about snail mucin so I wanted to try it ... although I am still getting used to the idea. This seems to be a really nice moisturizer. I like the consistency of the cream. It is on the thicker side, but not overly so. It goes on nice & smooth and feels very moisturizing on my face. However it is scented and to me, a bit too strong. It's not a bad smell, a little flowery but I don't like much scent on my face.It comes in a really nice jar with a push applicator which is great. When you press it, a small amount comes out. What's great is that there's no sticking your fingers in the jar. That's a big plus! Also no snails were harmed, obtained ethically. Because it's good for your skin, I am going to keep using it for a little while & see if I can get used to the scent. So for right now, the verdict isn't in for me.

The snail mucin cream from Revanel has a thin consistency but with a hint of stickiness (similar to their essence) but once I applied it to my skin and it fully absorbed, my skin felt moist (like my skin barrier was strengthen) and hydrated. There is a light scent that I thought was quite pleasant and had no concerns with skin irritations so I thought this cream was rather gentle on my skin. The cream actually reminds me of another snail mucin cream I used before, but I had stopped because it had gotten too expensive, but the Revanel cream price point is just right. What really drew me to this cream is, it treats acne scars which my other didn't. I haven't seen results yet since I've just started using it, but I am looking forward to it.

The worst part about snail mucin creams is definitely how messy/sticky they are to apply, and this brand does a nice job at putting the pump-dispenser in the top of the jar so you don't have to dip your fingers into a goopy mess. That said, it doesn't have the distinctive feel that I have experienced with the brand that made this concoction famous. It's also scented, which is something I don't like in facial products unless it's a botanical/natural by product of the formula. Overall it is a good buy especially if you are lazy like me and will use it more if it's easy to apply!

I have been using this for a while now on my face both morning and night but I just had a snail mucin that was straight mucin. This serum has mucin along with some other active ingredients, so it reduces my beauty routine from three products to one. After one week of application I have noticed the same results from this product as I have from my three other products I had been using previously. This product does not have bad scent; it is clean smelling and the texture is silky. In my experience this product is top notch and I recommend it.
