The Grand Union Canal: From Brentford to Braunston

Bought as a gift. Birthday recipient was pleased

This book only indirectly "tells the story" of the Grand Junction Canal. It is not a continuous narrative, but just short captions for a collection of old photographs of the canal. It is moderately interesting, but definitely not what I expected it to be. It is a pity that a few more recent colour photographs were not able to be included to relieve the black-and white monotony, and a pity also that the author did not think to provide a written overview of the canal, however brief, or even a map.
