I originally looked for a travel bed because my service dog is a greyhound and when we go out I like to have something soft for her to lay on. This pad is wonderful. Rolls up to where it's not a hassle to bring along and does great in the wash. This pad and her favorite blanket make for a very happy dog when we go out. I always bring it along when I think she might be on a hard surface.
