Bee Veil with hat- Pull-Out Veil with Round Hat - Professional Beekeeping Veil/Hat Combo for Protection During Hive Maintenance

This veil is CHEAP and not at all what is pictured. I tried to return the item but had trouble locating a package that it would fit in. So, now I am stuck with this garbage. My fault.However, what I received typically sell for $9. I ordered and paid for the item in the photo. This does not tie down but has cheap, elastic that goes under arms. What this results in, in NC humidity, is terrible chaffing. The veil also blocks anything below so you are constantly readjusting to be able to see clearly. Maybe for a casual bystander but not for someone actively working a hive.

Came on time as advertized. Under arm strap broke on second day of use. If tied properly dont need arm strap any ways. Sellershould include tie on diagram so newbeeks dont have do so much trail n error on best way to tie on. I meen you get this 10ft piece of rope with no directions lol. Could hang yourself hahaha.

Very good veil to protect yourself from bees. The string is helpful to tighten so the bees do not crawl up by your head. Got stung about 6 six times in the face and head without the veil. Once I put it on I did not get stung once. I used it when I transfer my bees from the NUC to the hive.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this veil. Easy to put over whatever clothes you’ve got on. Nice stiff brim keeps the screen all the way off your face (unlike others I’ve used). The pull down is nice for a quick drink of water. Very happy with this purchase.

The two elastic straps may come off the veil early on; you may want to enforce it preventively. This veil is not for the professional, but as backup, or low demand, a fair buy for the money.

Love this!I hate the clostaphobic feeling when a zipper gets jammed & with this hat the elastic veil pulls down & back in place quickly.

One side of the attached elastic for the arms is already stretched (other reviews have said attachments were loose or stretched so it wasn't a big surprise).What is the loop on the back for? If its for looping the cord you will never be able to put the veil on by yourself. The cords should have been attached in the back so you can reach back to pull them to the front to a ring and then tie off at the waist.

I got it right on time and tried it out right away. The hood protected me well against bees and I was able to work without the fear that the wind would blow the net on my face and allow the bees to sting me. The rope that came with it was too long but that was an easy fix and now I have a good bit of cord for anything that I might need to tie down.
