Using for a broken ankle, non-weight-bearing still. Using the knee scooter or the iWalk with the boot my ortho office sold me was miserable - the dome to inflate the boot, and the valve to release the air, was on the front of the boot and would dig into my shin, very uncomfortable. This product shows the dome and valve on the side, but the one I received has them on the back. Its great, comfortable, lightweight, and does not become painful when using the aids that require pressure on my shin.

On 11/15 I had a terrible accident playing basketball and dislocated my right ankle. I dislocated it just as bad as Gordon Hayward did years ago on the Celtics. When the dr took X rays at the ER I was incredibly lucky not to break or fracture any bones. I however, Have been in tremendous pain with stressed ligaments and muscles and have to be off my ankle foot for 6-8 weeks. I'm 6 foot 3 1/2, 225lbs, and wear a size 11 shoe US men's and this boot is incredibly comfortable and is easy to put on and take off. I ordered this boot to keep my ankle and foot secure and in place. I love that this boot has an air pump inflation and deflation system to really hold the ankle and heel in place creating no movement - I am incredibly thankful for this technology and this boot is worth every penny (the boot allows plenty of room to compensate for swelling and bruising and you can really tailor the fit to contours of your foot adjusting how snug or loose you want it. Truly a life saver in such a difficult time. I plan to post an update review after I start walking with it and and post comments on what the DR may say about it as well.. as for now this boot is worn to keep my foot in place and to keep my foot protected when I need to move around my house or be outdoors. This was an emergency find and there weren't very many reviews at the time of purchase. I hope that my comments about the product help someone else who might be in need.

This boot was great quality, and I had thought initially, perfect for me until I got help after breaking a metarsal bone Memorial Weekend. However, when I finally got to an Ortho Dr, I learned 3 bones were fractured, which is actually a very serious thing. The metatarsal bones are very tiny, & any weight on the foot can cause a major break & or surgical issue. So I was put in a tall specialized boot, & had to return my short one. The Dr did mention that this boot was a great one and asked me where I got it. I told him Amazon had it. He said I did the right thing, and this was a great boot, but not for 3 fractures. Ive never had any broken or fractured foot bones before, or even a sprain. But as a warning to others, if you get pain in the top of your foot, or ankle, I would definitely stay off it until you can get a boot such as this one. Its padded, w/a pump you can inflate for additional padding, and get help immediately if possible. Im so happy that I had gotten this boot and wore it for just 48 hours before I could get a ride to get the help I needed. I had no idea I had fractured 3 bones after I had walked on my treadmill for 5 miles, but had socks on instead of shoes. After my walk, I rested just 5 minutes, and as soon as I tried to walk to my kitchen, my foot snapped! Going w/o shoes for 5 miles was too much pressure. Now for summer, ill be out of commission for 12 wks due to stupidity. But this boot was and is, a perfect start, but for minor problems. Not 3. I high recommend, & give it 4 stars, only bc I had to send it back due to a major breakdown and fracture of 3 bones at once.

The gray boot given by my ortho did not satisfy my employer, who required i wear a black one, so i purchased this uncomfortable piece of garbage. I was initially impressed with all the extra bits and pieces that made it seem like it would offer an improvement over the doctor prescribed boot. This turned out to be wildly incorrect. There is so much wrong with it that i don't know where to start... it seems like changes were made to get around a patent without any real consideration to functionality.Putting it on is unnecessarily complicated by the many overlapping parts. The "tongue" and the body of the boot end up working against each other in the overlap. The "tongue" portion is mal formed and cannot be fastend securely and comfortably or either really. Even the cloth liner folds over itself on both sides of the ankle when closed, crimping into my poor, fractured ankle. The airbags don't seem to inflate well and lose air. I ended up taking scissors and a dremel to it, which did improve the fit and immobilization, but it's still horribly uncomfortable and only moderately stable. Fortunately, while complaining to a coworker about how much pain this boot causes, i found out i can just cover my original boot with a black shoe cover. It would have been good to know before i wasted 80 bucs on this hunk of junk, but at least i can go back to the boot that works and is reasonably comfortable.

The media could not be loaded.  I have plantar fasciitis. The podiatrist prescribed rest for two weeks and some stretching exercises. The stretching helped, but, because I simply could not rest and have to be on my feet, my foot could not really heal properly.So I thought maybe a walking boot will help, since I used one years back when I twisted my ankle and at the time stabilized my ankle and foot.Well I ordered the boot, put it on and gave it a try, it worked like magic; my plantar fasciitis was noticeable improved the next day, the soft cushion inside the boot and in the heel area, lessened the impact when I walked, all this together made possible for my foot to start healing better. Highly recommended.
