Another Winner from Alexa Land!
If you’re already a fan of Alexa Land’s Firsts & Forever series, there’s no question - you must read this book. It’s a novella that occurs right after book #13 (Worlds Away) in the series. But you don’t need to read Worlds Away prior to reading Armor. You may, however, want to read (or re-read!) The Distance (#11 in the series) as this story wraps up an arson investigation that began 18 months ago in The Distance.Armor focuses on Dante & Charlie, who have been together for 4 years now, so you get a glimpse into how they’ve grown as a couple. Also, their original story, All In (#2), was told from Charlie’s point of view, and Armor is told from Dante’s POV, so you get some insight into how Dante thinks - and it’s quite interesting!I won’t give anything away, but the bad guy was a surprise (to me, anyway) and I’m happy that this arson case is finally resolved. This is definitely worth reading - and if you’re not familiar with this series, just buy book #1 - Way Off Plan and start reading. This entire series is worth it!

Alexa Land packed a lot into this novella: humor, crime, steam and more
Armor is the story of tying up loose ends from an earlier book. During a family wedding, a rival family tried to take out this entire Dombruso clan. Dante's job is to protect the family and so he's been looking for the responsible parties ever since that night. Once he finally gets the bead on cousin Jerry, he knows answers are within reach. For such a short novella, there was actually a lot in this book. There was some great humor and of course, Nana Dombruso was part of that. There was sweetness between Charlie and Dante, as well as seriously hot smexy times. The pursuit of the attackers and the solution to that mystery was actually pretty intense. There are some crumbs surrounding characters that might be leading to future additions to the Firsts and Forever series. (I sure hope so.)

Loved Circling Back to Charlie and Dante
Armor was terrific. I don't think this novella would work well for someone new to the Firsts and Forevers series, but if you've read even a few of the books you'll probably love seeing some favorites in action again as many characters make cameos. Charlie and Dante, the central couple here, are from the second book in the series, All In. They've always been near the top of my list of Alexa Land's couples (sorry, Christian and Shea from Against the Wall won't give up first place even for badass Charlie, but Chance and Finn from Coming Home may be vulnerable in second). Revisiting this couple from inside Dante's head was a wonderful gift. The growth in their relationship was lovely, the plot was enthralling, and we still get some hot times with our favorite kinksters.

Lots going on in this novella!
Ever since reading "The Distance" I wanted the mystery of who is behind the mass murder attempt at the night club to "play out on page", and so I was very happy that it happened in a novella instead of being dealt with quickly as part of another full-length book. I really liked that it was from Dante's point of view; his thoughts and feelings about Charlie, his family and the tragedy that shaped his life - kudos to the author as she did a great job there!! It was a enjoyable mix of fun -Nana...do I need to say more-, hot moments between Dante & Charlie, and suspense. Who exactly was behind the fire? Without giving anything away I just want to say, I had an idea (of how they'd locate the perp) up to the moment after the car chase, and then WHAM! I did not expect that! Great twist. It was nice to "see" more of Vincent and that Connie and Andreo showed up too. And yes, I'm all in favor of Cameron Doyle getting his own story - he's an intriguing character. The only "niggle" I have: Since the book lists the characters with an explanation, it didn't need some of the backstories -IMO-; instead I would have liked to see a slightly extended end of what went down on the East Coast as that felt a bit rushed. All in all, though, I'm very happy with this novella: 4.5 stars!

Grab the first in this series -- just get several nights of great sleep in before you start, cuz ... well, you've been warned.
If you have a chance to read any of the books in this series, do yourself a favor -- put any / all of them at the top of your list. Suggest reading them in order. I'm into my 8th or 9th in the series now, and i'm already dreading it coming to an end. So very well done, it's hard to say why they're so good only because there are so many reasons! Start with the first in the series & be prepared for some great reads! Great character development. I found myself laughing often at the little snippets that made me feel closer to all the characters. When a book makes me yearn to actually be in the room with the characters just so i can see them interact, I know it's the kind of writing / story that's definitely worth reading. And all the ones in this series accomplish that. I'd trade reality for a chance to be associated with her characters -- no questions asked !! And it's not because my life is so ho-hum ... it's because her writing is that great !

Another great book by Alexa Land
This novella is told from Dante Dombruso's point of view and wraps up the arson investigation from eighteen months ago, when a mysterious arsonist set a fire intended to wipe the Dombrusos off the map.We get to fall in love with Dante and Charlie all over again, revisit with Vincent, Andreo and Connie, see how they've grown in the past years and get a glimpse of Dante's mind. Oh, and Nana makes an appearance too, of course! The story is sprinkled with a little bit of action, a little twist and hot & sweet moments between Dante and Charlie.Another great book by Alexa Land, looking forward to more First and Forever characters getting their HEA!

Good addition to the series.
An enjoyable romp, as unbelievable as the previous books. Still it was nice to catch up with Dante and Charlie and to meet what are probably going to be future characters in the series.

Happy days, Dante and Charlie are back, along with Nana!! Yahoo.
Really loved Dante and Charlie in their own book, 'all in'. So good to catch up with them later, years after they get married. Good to see how everyone else is doing as well, a full on walk down memory lane. Also good to have outstanding family troubles resolved for the Dombrusco's.Enjoyed this book. In fact pretty well enjoyed all the books in the series, some were standouts like 'all in' and 'armour' Dante and Charlie because they were really awesome, and 'gathering storm' Brian and Hunter, very well written story that one. Great support cast, love it when authors spend some time on their support characters. Good work!

Somehow Unsatisfying
Enjoy Alexa Land's works, ever since reading my first one, Coming Home ... though perhaps this was the least lovable of the books to date. It cleared up a necessary question mark, but was somehow unsatisfying, when set beside all the other books Alexa has written. I do enjoy any scene that features Grandmother, however! There is a refreshing character indeed.

Love Charlie and Dante
Charlie and Dante are one of my favourite couples from this series and it it great to get some more time with them. The book contains some spoilers for earlier books in the series so make sure you read them in order. I can't wait for the next book.
