Differin Acne Treatment 45 g

A friend over the age of 50 told me she used this product which is a good sign as I am over the age of 40.On the first round, my skin did peel, and this was with a layer of lotion before bedtime. No matter how much lotion you put on during the day, it will not protect you face.After the first round of pimples went away- after a second round my skin no longer peeled. Yes, it does clear up existing acne. However, the product says use all over to avoid future pimples from coming on. This is the downside. As soon as my current pimple clears up, a new one is right in line. This means you have to either continue to use the product as a regular regiment- which can lead to stressing the skin more than necessary causing new break outs.Or you can stop using after the first acne patch clears up and allow yourself to live with the second patch coming on.I have done both methods. Continue use of the product without a rest period did not cause my skin to become out of control dryness. However, I could not ger rid of the new acne coming on so I took this as a sign that I was stressing the skin too much and I used toner in place instead. This seemed to help clear up.There is talk about a purging period often occurring when using a new product or method. This purging period I think pertains to people over the age of 40. Purging is supposed to last 10 days or less. If this continues in a 90 day period, then its not a purging. The product or method is not right for you.Oil cleansing - oil removes oil. The science behind this is correct, However not always. Oil may not always remove oil but add to it being the cause of skin to become worse and scarred. I scarred badly using this method. I went from using too much oil to very little oil. I followed many suggestion on how to test oil cleansing for you skin type. I am over 40 and stuck with my new scarrs. This when I turned to Differin Product because at-home remedies don't always work. It's not they don't work but may not work because of the environment we live in. For example. Look at all those history shows showing native people living in deserts and jungles. Many of them live naked and in direct sun on dirt floors. There is not one pimple on their faces. But we who live in houses, live in polluted areas with cars and anything you can name. These conditions can sometimes hinder all-natural home remedies.Returning back to the Differin. I am still having trouble clearing up my face. I think I need to see a dermatologist. However, to see one, your face has to be really bad. One layer of acne that never goes away and scarring, I learned was not sufficient enough to get a referral to see a dermatologist. I will at some point have to stop using the Differin and allow my face to build up so bad. Unfortunately, when you do this, scarring will happen as I am over 40.That is my story for those over 40 and fighting pimples over the age of 40 as if you were 17 again. The only difference, you are no longer hot and that black dress does not fit anymore adding insult to your acne. Well, I am not pretty anymore with my face all scarred up.Try the produce if you are thinking about it.

I have been using Differin for years! I stopped for a couple of months to try something else, and my skin didn’t look as clear and radiant when I use this product. It takes around 2 weeks to build the tolerance, but once you pass that period, your skin will transform. Don’t use this product on your eyelids, and be sure to moisturize afterwards.

Effective product if used regularly

Not sure if it was used but the tubing didn’t have a seal on it and typically cosmetics, skin care products usually have a seal to protect the product from oxidation or tampering. Decided to send it back

This combined with the cerave acne foaming cleanser got rid of all my acne and game the the skin of a 16 year old

Have been using for a few weeks now, and am already noticing an improvement in my skin. Good value for the money.

Product is good. I’ve used before. Expensive though. Mine arrived with a broken box, not in the box. Product did not have seal on it and seemed used. In order to get a replacement I have to ship this one back or else pay for both. Don’t have time to return. It should’ve just came like it was supposed to in the first place!

Was prescribed this by my dermatologist few years ago when i was on accutane. Works wonders. It isnt readily available over the counter, so ordered it off amazon and its definitely authentic!
