I haven't done extensive research on all similar products, but from what I can tell, the one distinguishing feature from such products in a similar price range is that this clock has a USB port to charge your phone. So rather than have to pick what thing to lose from my bedside outlet, I can just replace my phone charger with this clock. This helps put this light clock over others for me.Downside: charging though the clock is slower than my normal adapter. But when I'm just leaving it through the night, no big deal.The rest of the features seem to be the same as similar products, but I'll comment on them anyway because I really enjoy them. And if these features weren't there, it'd be harder to pick this clock over other clocks despite having the charger function.1) You can turn off the LED lights that display the time. If you just want the waking light functionality but don't like small red lights glaring in the darkness, reminding you how it's this late and you still haven't fallen asleep, you can turn it off (and back on) with a couple clicks of a button.2) You can turn off the alarm sound and just use the waking light on its own. I like the preset sounds, but maybe sometimes you just want the light to slowly reveal itself rather than it be accompanied by a sudden sound.3) Makes a good lamp, and I enjoy the additional color light show feature.4) I don't really think I'll use the FM radio feature that much or at all, but it does automatically scan and preset ALL radio stations that have some signal. So you can just scroll through the stations that actually air something (though it does pick up poor quality ones too) rather than scroll through the channels that air nothing.5) You can use a 24-hour setting rather than AM/PM. I've always liked not using AM/PM.6) It's kind of...cute.Those features stood out most to me and made this a great clock. But just to mention some more: two alarm presets, can set brightness of alarm light, can set volume of alarm sound, a sleep mode (light will dim instead of brighten), 9-minute snooze, and some more fine-grained settings I don't want to bother listing that allow you to really customize things to your preferences. Oh, and there's a battery that preserves your settings if you ever have to unplug the clock (though I actually haven't checked this function).Downsides:1) I think I'll always need the instruction booklet because there are so many features and settings that use the same buttons. I may have used it enough now to know how to work everything, or at least the functions I primarily use, but there really is a lot. Single click this, double click that, long-hold this. That kind of stuff. You kind of have to learn the clock; I had to refer to the booklet for the first more than a few times. God help you if you forget how to set something you want in the future and don't have the booklet. (I still like the features themselves.)2) Even though the radio scans all the channels, scrolling through them is a pain in the butt. You have to long hold a button to move through the presets. As soon as I found a decent station I just left it there. Regular click is reserved for radio volume. Not sure why they couldn't use the same buttons that control alarm volume, but I don't know anything about how hard that sort of wiring or whatever is.That's it. It's a great clock.

It is fairly complicated to use. I knew that from previous reviews. Whatever you do, do not lose the instructions. The first day, it lit up unexpectedly a few hours after I went to sleep. That was annoying. Since then it has worked perfectly. I like it. Nice gentle awakening.

I love waking up to a nice natural sound and light rather than that cranking iPhone alarm. The light is wonderful especially in the winter months. Took away a star because it isnt the most user friendly in terms of set up, but once you get it set up the way you want, it's just 1 button to turn on/off the alarm.

Great value for the price, easy to use with the app, the color changing setting is a nice addition to add some fun to the alarm color. I’ve knocked it over and off my nightstand a few times and have not had any issues, so the durability is there. Has several choices for sounds and volume control.

So it looks cool, sounds cool, and the lights are great colors. I’m young and tech savvy, but boy this thing aged me at least 20 years. I spent 20 mins trying to set it up and still didn’t get it just right. There are just so many buttons and I had a really hard time telling if it saved my alarm. I have trust issues when it comes to alarms in general, so this type of set up freaked me out. I considered getting a hatch but got scared away by the price. However I may reconsider because this one is just so not user friendly and I can’t sleep if I’m panicking that the alarm isn’t set right. We’ll see how it goes.

Overall I absolve this product. After listening to a Mel Robbin’s podcast about getting 10 minutes of su when you first wake up in the morning, I was a bit disappointed because I am already at work when the sun comes up. She had a doctor from Harvard on her show, and the doctor recommended this type of machine. What it will do is create the elements of a sunrise in the privacy of your home. Not only will it give you this necessary light when you first awake, also does calming music and is easily manageable to offer a variety of sounds as well as a variety of levels of greatness. It did take me a few minutes to figure out how to set everything up, but product comes very detailed directions and I was able to navigate through each part of the directions to set up my two morning alarms. Also get an app on your phone that offers even more uses of the product. I have been able to meditate using the app as well as specific sleeping routine utilizing the lights the sounds. I normally would not spend this kind of money on a product, but I am beyond pleased with it and Will certainly be him to My Favorite category!

We got this for someone who is hearing impaired. The sunrise light works exactly as advertised. We like that we can change how many minutes before the alarm sounds that the light starts. Also the volume of the alarm. The loudest setting enabled hearing without the hearing aids. There are also different options for the alarm sounds, including a radio option. This product can also be used as a light in the room at night, which has been helpful when getting up at night. There is quite a bit to set up but directions are clear so we got it done.

The alarm clock is great, it does what it’s supposed to do for the most part. I wake up a lot easier with the sunrise effect. The only issues I have with the alarm clock is when you turn off the sound the light goes off as well so it’s easy to fall back to sleep since the room goes back dark; also the wireless charger does not charge my phone (it says it’s charging but comes off the charger dead after charging all night), it does charge my Apple Watch fine though. Overall for the price I think it’s great, I use it along with a smart plug for my lamps which come on the same time as my alarm, that way when I turn off the alarm sound the room doesn’t go dark, this works great for me because I can’t sleep with the lights on.

Our Philips just died & I had become completely reliant on the light alarm. There are a lot of alternatives now but the price points are high. I bought this because it had (almost) everything I wanted (dual alarm, sunrise setting & FM radio as alarm). I also wanted battery backup for our frequent power outages & it advertises as such but I don’t see any way to replace batteries (hence 4 star). The only other thing that I wish it did is have the alarm music begin gradually (low to higher volume) as the lowest setting is still pretty loud but no such luck. It’s been a week & I'm already used to it so I guess that’s fine too. Overall good value for money (on sale for $35), we’ll see how long this one lasts

Primera configuracion de alarmas un poco complejo pero ya que le entiendes no hay ningun pierde, el sonido muy bueno y la luz recomiendo lo pongas cercas de donde duermes a la altura de tu cara para que la luz te alcance a dar y te vayas despertando. Gran cambio de despertar con la alarma del celular.

You can’t ignore it as it lights up when the alarm goes off. I lovd the customization options for sounds, light, volume, time intervals, etc. It’s also awesome as a bedside lamp and has many different colour options. Highly recommend!

Compré este despertador porque no me gusta la alarma del celular y porque me cuesta despertarme muy temprano en la mañana cuando hay poca luz. Para despertar es genial, dependiendo de los ajustes de luz y sonido, tendrás tu alarma a la hora que lo indiques y es mucho más agradable a despertarse con cualquier alarma de celular.También el modo atardecer me ayuda bastante a la hora de dormir. Igualmente, dependiendo de los ajustes, de manera paulatina la lámpara va disminuyendo la intensidad de la luz, acompañada de sonido ambiental. Al haber tenido problemas de insomnio en el último año, este modo de la lámpara ayuda bastante para quienes nos sentimos más cómodas y cómodos conciliando el sueño con luz y sonido ambiental.En general la lámpara-despertador tiene un montón de ajustes que se pueden modificar como mejor nos convenga o nos guste. Entre ellos la intensidad de la luz (para despertador, modo atardecer, o simplemente como lámpara), el volumen del sonido, la duración de la luz en modo lámpara, el color de la luz cuando esta es para “colorear” el espacio, diferentes sonidos para despertador y modo atardecer.Me parece un buen producto en relación costo-beneficio, realmente me ha resultado bastante útil y me gusta mucho.Entre las cosas que se pueden mejorar y por las que le doy 4 estrellas son:-Manual de uso: es bastante concreto y creo que se podría extender para explicar más ampliamente la configuración y uso de la lámpara-Botones sobre la lámpara: hay 3 botones en la superficie circular de la lámpara (no el perímetro) que son para ajustar configuraciones, pero (en mi caso, no sé si haya pasado con otros usuarios) a veces estos botones no responden al tacto, y se supone que son sensibles. Esto hace que se me dificulte configurar mis preferencias cuando tengo que hacerlo. Nota: no pasa siempre, es ocasional y parece que los botones siguen su comando sin que yo los toque, aunque desconozco por qué pasa esto.-Duración de la luz normal: la lámpara maneja de 5 a 60 minutos para mantenerse encendida con cierta intensidad de luz, a menos de que se ajuste a más o menos. Creo que sería mejor que tuviera periodos más largos, para no tener que estar prendiéndola constantemente después de que se cumplió la duración de encendido.A pesar de estos puntos de mejora, es un producto que recomiendo ampliamente. Llevo casi un mes usándola y me ayuda bastante temprano en las mañanas y a la hora de dormir.
