If you simply want a light clean lock to deter the casual thief these locks are perfect. However I wouldn't recommend it for an expensive bike as they are very thin and the lock is a good deterrent to a wet drunk looking to get home quick but would never deter a professional bike thief. Good value for money though and clean and light to carry around for my old shopping bike.

I actually bought one of these for use in the French Alps so you know it's good in the winter. Had absolutely no problems with it, didn't get my board nicked (although most people left theirs without locking), it was easy to lock and unlock and I just put the little tag with the code in my wallet. Really cheap, works, although I'd be interested to see how it would fare against a pair of decent wire cutters...

This lock is much flimsier than it looks in the photos but I bought it for locking a helmet to my motorcycle and it is fit for this purpose. At the price not bad value for money but will offer no significant protection of anything against a vaguely competent thief. A deterrent rather than proper security. Not sure anyone would wish to nick my well worn and somewhat malodorous motorcycle helmet so ok for me!

Good strong lock. Comes with a little metal tag with the code on. Handy to attach to keys so you don't forget it. Would have had 5. Stars if we could have changed the code but still a great value lock

This lock is perfect as a deterant to opportunist thieves of your bike. I bought 2 and they are nice and light to carry. Through the wheels and frame and around a strong point gives me peace of mind when leaving the bike for a while. Of course they're not strong enough to deter a determined bike thief with a good set of bolt croppers, but they're fine to secure your bike quick and easily in public areas.
