Keeps drinks cold!
These keep drinks cold and they're easy to rinse and throw back in the freezer. We tried the balls the first time and they rolled too much (my husband uses a very large cup for his drinks) but these stay put. They're not the same as ice of course, but they do what they're supposed to do when ice is not available.

Keeps drinks cold and fresh
A very simple set of cubes. No frills on the cases, but they'll keep the stones organized. Smooth edges won't ruin any glasses, but the flat sides do prefer a flat cup bottom. They wash off easy, too. Note that they aren't very good for cooling down a room-temperature beverage, but they will keep a cold drink cold for a good while.Great for more than just whiskey- works well with Dr. Pepper, or anything that can get watered down too easily!

Great stones!
I was looking for an ice cubes alternative. I'm so happy with these Whiskey stones. I use them for my iced latte every morning - I just add a couple of small real ice cubes and my coffee is cold and not water down.

cold doesn't last
My iced tea always gets diluted so quickly in the summer heat so I thought getting these stainless steel whiskey stones would help. They do chill my drink but problem is it doesn't stay cold long enough. Works great in a yeti cup but that's almost double effort and the stones are so large they take up too much space in the cup.

They are large whiskey stones
Pros:They are just like most othersThey are good at chilling (or at least not letting the drink get warm)They come with a case (plastic)Cons:They felt like they come about 1/2 full (they warm to room temp pretty quick)Thanks

No more watered down drink!
I must say I'm not sure why I didn't get something like this sooner. These sure beat using actual ice. I really like my drinks cold, and to stay cold. So much so that I add extra ice to my drinks just to keep them cold for longer. However that means less drink! And I feel like less ice just makes the melting process go a lot faster. That means watery drink! Both are a no for me. These little cubes solve those problems for me pretty well.To test these out, I used one cube to chill my energy drink, that consisted of a full bottle of refrigerated water, and a scoop of energy power. I also made sure I was in my hot, 80 degree Fahrenheit kitchen, to really put the cube to the test. And it sure did do its job! Usually after shaking the water and energy power together, the drink already starts to get less cold on its own for whatever reason. But not with the cube! I let my drink sit after shaking it for a few minutes, and it made my drink colder no problem! I took longer than usual to finish my drink, just to see if it remains cold, and it sure did!I really like that whatever liquid that is inside of these cubes is surrounded by a strong, heavy metal. They feel super high quality, and I imagine a lot better than the plastic ones that I've seen on the market. Not to mention more sanitary. These are much easier to clean, and I know won't leech out any bacteria, or melt in a dishwasher. Although I just rinse these off after use, throw them back in the cute case that they came in, and back in the freezer they go!

Beautiful Whiskey Stones - just remember they don't work exactly like ice
These are really beautiful Whiskey Stones. Upon arrival I washed and dried them and their plastic container, then I popped them into the freezer.Later in the evening I used one to chill some whiskey. It worked well, or should I say, "as designed." That's because whiskey stones aren't really intended to chill your drink the way ice would. As ice melts the cold water blends with the whiskey, both diluting and cooling it. I learned way back in high school physics class that tap water can actually be colder than 32 degrees Fahrenheit and yet remain in its liquid state. Imagine water at, say, 30 degrees Fahrenheit blending with your whiskey. It's going to bring down the temperature of the whiskey quite effectively.Of course the corollary to that is that your whiskey is being diluted as it is being chilled. That process doesn't happen with these stones. Your whiskey remains full bodied, but probably won't get as cold as it would with a corresponding quantity of ice. And that is exactly what happened to our whiskey last night. Whiskey chilled to a nice sipping temperature. And that's not a bad thing. When whiskey gets too cold the drinker can't enjoy its flavors. And when it gets diluted, well you've unintentionally ordered a whiskey and water. So keep in mind that these work a little differently than ice, and you'll enjoy a beautiful addition to your whiskey glass and a pure, undiluted, chilled (but not frozen) glass of your favorite whiskey.

LARGE! Statement cubes!
Wow, these really are big! One per whiskey/scotch glass. Heavy. Shiny and trendy. Didn’t freeze as cold as I’d hoped in 2 hours but then again it was a hotel fridge freezer… maybe my home freezer will do better.Box wasn’t as “gifty” in appearance as I’d hoped. The plastic storage box is a nice touch; unfortunately it was cracked as shown in the pic.Overall, good to try for yourself, but not if you’re looking for a nice presentation for a gift.
