Got this to keep my mother who has dementia safe in bed, works well

This rail looked great initially, and it was easy to fit to the bed. However, 6 weeks later and the metal is bending - the rail no longer fits flush to the bed and the angle means it no longer protects me from falling out of bed. The return window has now closed, but this should have lasted much longer. Not sturdy at all and does not function.

Bought this to keep my elderly mum safe. She can easily open it and get out the bed which is not ideal. Putting the bottom pieces on to slide under the mattress a pain as even though the bolts are done up tight that still move.
