I have many recordings of Billy but on cassette and vinyl so she can now be with me wherer I go.....now in the car as well.

I loved the comprehensive nature of this covering all her recording history. Surely one of the best singers the world has known and tragically misused and targeted by the law enforcement agencies. If you like Billie Holiday this is the one to own.

A beautiful album for any fan of Billie. It contains a fine mixture of her classics together with some lesser known tracks. The quality of the tracks (after re-mastering) is superb; the crackles have gone but Billie’s distinctive delivery is still there.

Great compilation of classic Billie Holiday recordings. Not as smooth-voiced as Ella Fitzgerald, Satah Vaughan or Lena Horne, Holiday nonetheless was a hauntingly gifted vocalist, with a doomed lifestyle. Amy Winehouse obviously listened to her - Holiday's influence on Winehouse's vocal style is apparent throughout this album.This set has been nicely remastered, and the price is very reasonable for such a trove of great recordings.

Great compilation so though I would buy, when it arrived very cheap looking and when playing quality was poor, stay clear from NOT NOW MUSIC, pay a little more for better quality.

I have a fairly comprehensive collection of female jazz and blues singers, having Billie Holiday amongst them is a must, she is not a legend for no reason, fantastic voice, highly recomended.

I absolutely love this cd so enjoyed listening to this lady sing it makes you feel like your in a club with her there. I would totally tell people to buy this cd they will not regret it at all.
