Overall, a good book with beautiful photographs to inspire an adventurous trip to Italy.For me the book is hugely let down by so many incorrect captions and plenty of images wrongly numbered. With this many inconsistencies it is often hard to navigate and takes longer than what it should do to retrieve information. These repeated small mistakes make me question the accuracy of the information found within this book.It is such a blow for the author and photographer, Michele Tameni. This could have been a fantastic book, if only the publishers hand't let him down and payed more care and attention.

It's a lovely book but if like me you bought it hoping to find some secret places to swim then it's not for you. On the other hand I still enjoyed swimming in a couple of places included in the book, it was just not the wildness that I had hoped for.

Love all of these Wild Guides.

Recommended. Took it to Italy and found a couple of swimming places I wouldn't have found otherwise.

We searched for 4 or 5 of the swims around Lake Garda. The directions and descriptions were so poor that after several hours we gave up. The signs on the road bore little if any correlation with the names of places in the book. We are serious wild swimmers (my friend is a swim coach), and were bitterly disappointed and let down by this book. Terrible.
