Easy to install, and very handy having the light and plug right it the ironing board compartment.

We purchased the Hide-Away Supreme Series Ironing Center Model SUP420 for $210 from Home Depot. We picked it up at our local store so we saved the shipping cost. We purchased the Household Essentials Stow Away Cabinet Light and Power 3-Prong Outlet with LED Spotlight with auto-Off Timer through Amazon for $54 (also free shipping). So we ended up spending $264. The comparable Iron A Way model AE-42 Deluxe Electric Swivel Ironing Center which included a slightly fancier light/timer was priced at over $500. In the end we saved almost 50%. It cost us $150 to have it installed but that would have been the same with the Iron A Way model anyway. Either unit has to be hard wired into the existing electrical. Very happy with this purchase. Have only used it one time so far so I can't comment on durability, but it looks great and is very easy to use.

Added this to our built in ironing board and it's awesome. Best part is the timer. I'm so forgetful I always forget to turn the iron off, and this solves the problem. It shuts off automatically after 15 minutes.

got this for the folding ironing board. Love it. The iron plug was straight and i couldn't leave the iron plugged in to the unit and still shut the door. I had to buy a flat face plug extension . Not sure why they chose to put the plug on the front face vs say the bottom which would make much more sense. with the little plug adapter it works well and i'm happy with it.

Needed it to replace the one I had with my ironing board.

I bought the first light/timer unit from the warehouse. It was listed as used/like new. I save $4.00 so thought it would be ok. The box was marked as inspected when it arrived. When taking off the cover to wire it I found one component was blown apart and a burnt spot on the circuit board. Also the light that was supposed to be included was missing. I returned the unit and reordered a new one for the extra four bucks. When this arrived I took off the cover to install and saw a burnt mark on the circuit board similar to the first unit. I did a temp hookup and found it did not work. I am returning it also. Given this experience, I would rate this as a do not buy.

This is perfect for the built in ironing board. Makes it so much easier to iron. Definitely worth the money!
