A most enjoyable musical movie!
It has been a few decades since "Girl Crazy" has been last broadcasted on UK Freeview Television, so it is great to now be able to see this movie in DVD quality instead of the old TV-recorded VHS tape that I have been using! This 1942 film stars Mickey Rooney among others and features several G & I Gerschwin songs, including "Fascinating Rhythm" and the rather splendid extended showing of "I got Rhythm".I 'm certainly glad that I have made this purchase!

Some Wonderful Gershwin Songs...
An effervescent musical from the golden era when Judy and Mickey were at their peak and in which Judy looks lovely throughout. Some wonderful Gershwin songs even though the finale (I Got Rhythm) is a little over the top and not really in keeping with the rest of the film, but as this section was directed by Busby Berkeley and the bulk of the film by Norman Taurog I can see why. I just wish it had been filmed in Technicolor, even so I highly recommend this film for a bit of escapism.

Clearly Alex de Silva has no taste and does not appreciate greatness! This movie is fantastic and ALL the songs are great.This is my favourite of the Judy and Mickey collabs.
