Q: Can this vacuum be converted to use a disposable bag?

The model number is not listed as one of those you can use the replacement red cloth bag that supports disposable bags. I am going with "no" on this. My staff doesn't want a vac that doesn't take disposable bags, because they think they will get covered in dust when emptying. I wish I had better information on this, but I think I will return it. I don't want them to try it, find that they don't like it, and then I can't return it.

Q: How long is the code, or how many niches

It’s really really long. I have a 2,000sq ft main level and if I plug it in in the middle of my house, I can vacuum almost from one end of the house to the other.

Q: Is the base adjustable?

Yes, to a certain extent. The round knob on the front adjusts the base from a 1 setting for floors up to 6+ for heavy shag type carpets. This vacuum works better than the old Kirby which was much more expensive. ECD
