Good but don't always work
I got four lights and overall they seem like good lights though my issue is on installation I had one light to start blinking and it is now burnt out and they are too expensive to just burn out.

Mother of Dragons Corn Light, Best Corn Light Around, no bull.
Having purchased about 12 to 15 different brands of corn lights for my indoor gardening, this is the one that rocks out. Built in cooling fan for long life, protective cover to keep 'stuff' out of the light. Compact and cool surface, very bright! I run the lights in pairs in fixtures I build myself with the bulbs about 6 to 8 inches from leaves, great penetration of light into all surfaces of leaves and low heat factor. The light from the bulb isn't as yellow as from a standard 3k CFL or even other LED bulbs, but the plants sure love it. I have noticed a quicker reaction from the plants moving them into the fruiting cycle and the plants keep their lush green, no yellowing. I use this companies 65k for vegetative growth cycles. My tomato plants started to produce easily three times the flowers when I moved to the 3k bulbs, which is better results then when I was still using CFL in the same temp rating. I use these bulbs in my garages for ambient lighting as well. At -42°F this winter, it complained a little, but once the fan was warmed up, no worries and the light fired right away. NOTE: must be covered outside, so no water gets in, but you MUST allow for airflow, not a light for a sealed fixture, as with most non-incandescent lights. Bulbs you buy in big box stores, not near the quality. This Mother of Dragons is the light you want. Farmers, ya, barn light, you will love it! Workshop, better than 4 foot tubes! This flavor comes with an adapter to fit into a mogul base 120vac socket. * there, I gave them a sixth star :)

Excellent brightness but fan is noisy
I bought these lamps because they're narrow and fan-cooled, and my expensive globe-shaped LED bulbs have been expiring after an incredibly short time in my ceiling fixtures, which are enclosed in recessed receptacles in which the globe part of the bulb is almost as wide as the aperture. Behind that, where the hot base of the LED bulb is, there isn't enough ventilation to prevent heat from building up to the point of decimating the lifetime of the LED bulbs. Why don't the purveyors of LED bulbs warn you that their lifetime is severely compromised by being installed in very, very common types of fixtures??? (Could it be greed and lack of integrity?) Even super-hot but super-cheap incandescent bulbs lasted longer. These bulbs do their job in terms of light output and with a warm enough spectrum not to cast light like the horrific "alien autopsy" bluish color of early LED bulbs. I haven't been using them long enough yet to evaluate their longevity. The only problem that's cropped up so far is that their internal cooling fans are fairly noisy. I personally don't mind so much (it's white noise to me) but my spouse is so bothered that they are banned from everywhere in the house except for my office.

Light is great, Adapter is NOT
I really like this light, it is bright & has good color. The problem I had was the adapter was VERY cheap. When I screwed it into the fixture (which is old & has some corrosion) the adapter just fell apart, the inside twisted apart from the outside. I purchased a separate adapter that was made of ceramic & it works great. I recommend if you need the adapter, th get a different one. I would buy this light again. I would have given 5 stars if it didn't come with the cheap adapter.

Brightness :10 noise : 2
No mention in description that it was noisy. Perhaps it's fan cooled?

Lasted 5 weeks, then began to flicker; clearly defective; seller refunded
The media could not be loaded. The bulb worked fine initially. We had it in the E39 adaptor. Worked for about 5 weeks (just barely beyond the Amazon return window), then started flickering. I contacted the company, they initially said it may be a faulty fixture (that is not the case), then offered to have me purchase another E26 to E39 adaptor. Ordered it, used with bulb, same result. I was able to get it working in an E26 base, but then later it started flickering again, even in an E26 base. I installed another bulb (slightly more expensive at $30, but worth it), it works fine. This one is clearly defective.I cannot recommend it to anyone and certainly not in an E39 socket.UPDATE: Seller refunded, so changing to 3-star review.

Very easy to install and bright
I love how bright these are in my garage. Placed 3 of these in the ceiling that is about 20' high. My neighbor has the daylight ones and these warm white lights feel better. There is a hum whenever the lights are on. Sounds like a mini fan kicking in. It was slightly annoying because I am unsure if it is meant to be but I can see that it might need the fan to cool it down. I can live with the hum if it will last years in the garage.

It's Bright
When I purchased the light I did not notice anywhere in the listing that indicated the bulb was not designed for outdoor (wet) locations. When I received the package and opened it, that's one of the first things I read. I didn't care to send it back and decided to take my chances. I have the LED bulb installed in my security light using the provided adapter and it has been there a month or so. We've had a significant amount of rain and constant high humidity. Even with all the precipitation and saturated air, the bulb is functioning flawlessly. It's bright enough to light up my entire back yard and operates at a fraction of the cost of the 150 watt bulb I replaced it with. It's worth the money.
