These are really nice meat seasonings. As I love a variety of different meats, the issue is that they can become a bit repetitive. Recently, I’ve been on the hunt for good seasonings to add some flavour. These seasonings enhance the taste of cooked meats, although if you’re frying, try to use as little oil as possible; otherwise, like any spice, it tends to stick to the pan. They also work well mixed in with rice or mashed potatoes for flavourful sides.

This three pack Meat Lovers Selection of Premium BBQ Seasonings contains three large jars of seasoning which should last you most of the BBQ season (not that we’ve had much of that yet, weather-wise). That said, they are also perfect for using on meat in the oven to give it some extra punch.The three flavours are Adam’s Rib, Holy Cow and Sweet Texas. Although they are recommended for certain meats, the ingredients mean that it’s fine to use them across the board on pork, chicken or beef. I e even tried these on salmon, though their fish based one I tied a few months back was certainly a better fit for this.Each one has a few shared ingredients, namely chilli, but then mixes this with others to create a more unique flavour as well. The initial test was with a small amount but this proved a little too subtle so I added more the next time around on my pork and it worked really well. It’s a case of experimenting to find your own preference for how much flavour you want to add without overpowering the meat though.So, yes, I’d definitely recommend these seasonings for any meat, not just barbecue season.

I've been using these on my grill and they've gone down a treat with the family and myself; the Holy Cow Beef Rub goes amazingly well on grilled rib eye. Yum.

You get three large jars of seasoning in the pack: 'Sweet Texas' BBQ Rub, 'Holy Cow' Beef Rub and 'Adam's Rib' Rib Rub. Each jar is about the size of a soda can so should last quite a few BBQs!The Holy Cow Beef Rub is a delicious BBQ seasoning containing red sweet paprika, salt, garlic, onions, coriander, cumin, chilli peppers, oregano and rosemary. It's a slightly sweet, spicy flavour that doesn't overpower but brings out the flavour of the meat beautifully.The Adam's Rib Rib Rub contains salt, red sweet paprika, brown sugar, garlic, allspice, chilli, thyme, coriander and cumin. It's a full flavoured rub that adds a lot of colour and delivers a punchy flavour.The Sweet Texas Rub is my favourite of the three - with salt, brown sugar, red sweet paprika, onions, garlic, black pepper, celery, chilli peppers, nutmeg, turmeric and cinnamon it delivers a sweet BBQ flavouring that you can use on any meat.I'm not a big rib eater, and would have personally preferred they had included their excellent Smoky Pig Pork Rub instead of the Adam's Rib Rub in this pack, but I love the other two seasonings and can see them going down very well at BBQs this summer.Definitely recommended for meat eaters!

Price at review: £17.99So I first off tasted each of these right out of the jar. My advice is don't do this! What I can tell you is that each of them tastes like it contains a fair bit of chili.I thought the spiciness was quite strong so when I cooked up some meat I tried each of them out but I used fairly sparingly not wanting to have the spice be overpowering. Well I worried for nothing because that created quite a delicate flavor adjustment and I could have used plenty more without it being too strong.In the spirit of giving a fair review I tried another steak and this time used quite a bit more. I found that definitely gave it a kick but it was perfectly agreeable.Overall I found each of them quite similar in taste but an appealing extra edge to add to meat. Ideally I would prefer a little more variety in the flavours and some description as to what to expect as well as some more direction as to how much and how to use.These are a good gift pack but as a grocery item I think I'd just buy a single jar. The Rib Rub was my favourite.

Nice mixed set of meat seasonings.Ordered for our next caravan trip which is a few weeks away, these will come in handy to feed the family as there is always a large group of us that go at the same time so can experiment, we do like our BBQ's and plenty of beer to wash the food down so can see these going down a treat.Something for everyone but can not wait to try the sweet texas mix. size wise at just under £6 a tub for 210g this is very good value when sold as a multipack, single pot offerings on the market in a similar size do work out a fair bit more than this so cheap as chips.a 5 star product for BBQ lovers, now just to get there and get it lit.

A good set of rubs and having tried a few of these before, I know they taste great too. I guess some would find them a tad salty but everyone is different. Easy to use, and adds something different to your BBQ. Would make an ideal gift too.
