It was easy! I used the enclosed hair ties to make a ponytail. I picked the big ring and put it around my ponytail’s base three times. I spread my hair all over the top of the ring and put another hair tie on top once. I divided the hair that was hanging down into two and made a rope braid. Then I wrapped it around the hair covered ring and secured it with two hair pins. Voila! It held well and didn’t pull my scalp even though I had it on all morning and afternoon. My bun was very neat and tidy :) It’s nice that they have three different sizes. I think they’d work well to make tidy space buns, too!Much like! Much recommend.

My daughter is required to wear her hair in a bun for ballet. For years we've used homemade sock-buns, so it was fun to try these spongey, nylon "donuts" ! Bonus that they are offered in different shades - we chose Brown for her brunette hair.Almost everything you need to create the perfect ballerina bun is included (only missing the hairnets!) You get four large donuts (about 3" diameter) and four small ones (about 2" diameter.) They create different size buns if you have long hair, or the small is best for shorter hair.It says there are 40 of the 2.75" rounded bobby pins (I didn't count, but it looks like 20 per bag!) and there are five black elastic bands with a round bead things on them. I didn't really care for these, as that bead is annoying and catches/tugs on hair. I suppose it's is there to help keep the ponytail from slipping? Not sure.Anyway, the kit is really easy to use. You put the hair in a ponytail, then at the bottom of the ponytail loop the donut through and start rolling it up the hair, winding the hair around the donut as you go, and kind of wrap it to cover the sponge. It is a little tricky at first to get it snug at the base of the ponytail, but YT videos help!For under $10, this is a nice starter set that could be easily shared with a few dance friends or to keep at the studio or in a competition dance bag!

My daughter who has fine, short hair, uses these for dance so that her ballet bun looks proportional to her head. I like that there are two sizes so that when she wants to have "Princess Leia" hair, she can use the smaller donuts. The U pins are good for holding her hairnet on over the bun. The price of these is a steal for receiving so many in one package.

These are the perfect size to use in my daughters' hair. They are the perfect shade of brown for their hair as well. I really like that this kit also includes the extra hair accessories you may need to fully secure the bun pieces in the hair.

This set comes with everything you need for neat and perfect little buns. I have a daughter in dance and they are often instructed to wear their hair in buns and these work great for that. I'm no longer struggling with twisting and pinning. That said, if you or the person you're using it on has really long hair, you'll have to wrap it around a few times. I like the little bun makers to style my daughter in double "space buns" then decorate with bows. Super cute!

Excellent value. The donuts alone are worth it! I feel like the pins and bands are a splendid little extra. I can’t begin to tell you how many donuts we go through in my house. At one time I was spending over 5 dollars for 4 at the dollar store. After receiving this I see the added value. Everything I needed arrived together. No added costs and the tag just right! A steal if you ask me. This is a fantastic gift for any ballerina who is tasked at having a proper bun for class.5 stars.

I have thin hair so I was happy that I got my the bun kit to match my hair color as it was peeping through a little. Recommend this kit.
