Awesome Size! Great Product!
This welding blanket is as good as promised! I am not the best welder, so I need all the safety precautions I can get, in order to not burn down my garage. Works great. No burn throughs whatsoever! I also love the size and how easily it folds into a smaller size. Will definitely buy again.

Welding blanket works great for treager
I bought this welding blanket as a insulation for my treager on windy days. It has worked great and I've saved tons of money by not needing as many pellets.

It's fiberglass.
It seems like this will work well. It's heavy and seems well made for my purpose (cordoning off a section of my shop to do basic welding). But watch out for the fibers! I didn't think about the fact that it's fiberglass and just pulled the 2 blankets out, carried them in my t-shirt and bare arms, etc. It wasn't until I was back at my desk that I noticed I was covered in little glass fibers. I changed all my clothes, but I'm still a bit itchy. Lesson learned.

Heat Resistant, Fiberglass Blanket, Perfect for Torch Bench
I am not a welder but a glass blower. I got this blanket for use around my shop so that I could use it in a few different areas. I found it extremely useful as a blanket to put hot glass on. I noticed that if the glass came right out of the flame and was dropped on the blanket it would stick to it, but this makes sense as the glass temp is way past the 1000 degree recommendation. If I let the glass cool a bit and then drop it on the blanket, there is NO problem. I would guess the glass is still around 1200-1300 degrees at this point and - if used properly - the blanket will not burn. I plan to test the blanket with my kiln to help reduce residue from the bricks. I am sure I can find 10 other uses for it around the shop. It has been very useful to have.

Good from a distance
This is a heavy welding blanket that works perfectly from a distance of 12" or more. I tried to use this to cover the sheet metal on the front of my jeep for a winch mount welding project, and now it has a slot burned in it. Works great, just don't get to close as it will burn/melt and fray.

Great product!
I love me some BBQ. But keeping my smoker a constant temperature is always impossible. The blanket is large enough to keep it folded and still cover my smoker. The grommet holes are great if I need to tie it down on a windy day. The blanket did get discolored a bit from the smoke, but that was expected. It's amazing if you can keep a constant heat how you reduce pellet consumption.

DOES THE JOB
I had to do some welding and gas torch cutting on a trailer frame that was very close to a tent I used for painting. Not wanting to set it on fire I bought this blanket to protect it. Job done and no fire. I is heavy weight and did the job.
