SeaCureX Type 2 Custom Mouthpiece (Blue)

Easily the best low-cost diving accessory, you don’t realize how tired your jaw gets until you don’t have to hold on anymore. Once you fit it to your teeth (boil and bite method) this thing stays in place with no effort at all and is so much more comfortable. Make sure you get the right size for your regulator, I’ve got a mix of brands so I ended up with a few different sizes.

Not used for diving by me. But.. it goes past the back of my teeth. I trimmed it a little so my gums weren't being cut/gouged.The other review with the comment about it missing the lip piece/ Your lips should wrap around the diving mouth piece but this has a negligible "ridge" that your lips can "hold in place". Other diving gear has it; this one doesn't. Most likely it'd slice your mouth apart.I did not boil it though so I only partly followed through with instructions... so. That's my 2 cents.

My gums would get killed with scuba pro mouthpiece. I bought the Seacure and couldn’t be happier. Easy to form and zero issues while using. Wish I found these earlier.

I've dove this for almost two years now. It was my first custom fit attempt, so it took me two tries to get the shape right. It does fit my mouth a little better than a standard mouthpiece so there is noticeable less jaw fatigue even after a 1-2 hour dive. It is definitely larger than I expected it to be. The material is firmer than the higher-end, soft silicone ones. There are two cons that I didn't consider: I do some tech diving and found that the material gets hard as a rock in cold water. It's not usually an issue since it's kept warm in your mouth, but when you do air-sharing exercises with your buddy and it comes out of your mouth for a while it's very noticeable. This leads to the second con: we practice donating the reg out of your mouth, and two buddies have commented that it felt weird fitting their mouth on "my" mouthpiece. I'm sure the cold/hard feeling didn't help. That said, in case of an actual emergency, I feel confident that most buddies would prefer an uncomfortable mouthpiece to their own air-less one.

I've dipped this thing 3 times, it's now so thin at my rear molars that it's translucent. It feels fine fitting it, I make sure it fits right, feels comfortable for a few seconds, then take it out of my mouth. I put it back in 20 minutes later and it feels like it's shrunk. I have to bite down to get it to 'fit' again. Like the dental arch is too narrow and it won't expand to match mine. Not happy, not sure if they'll take it back.UPDATE: 7/26/19 Well, 4th time was the charm but had to leave in my mouth for a considerable amount of time and i believe I had to push outward with my tongue to assure proper fit. BUT, now fits perfectly and likes to stay put. Bumped to 4 stars as I think the instructions should ward on shrinking or having to leave in your mouth a lot longer than directions said.

This mouthpiece showed up in an unlabeled plastic clamshell package. No labeling, nor instructions were included. If seacure wasn’t moulded into the mouthpiece itself, I would have said it’s counterfeit… I have a DGX moulded mouthpiece and really like it. Wife wanted a mouldable mouthpiece, but preferred the softer material the seacure is made from. Review will be updated once she has a few dives on it.

I have gone through many mouthpieces for my BCD's and Snorkels. I was hesitant about this purchase bceause of the price but I'm SOOOOO happy i did. I always have painful jaw after diving and when you are at an all inclusive the only way to remedy that is more liquor ;) but really, it makes it painful to even eat so i'm proud I took the plunge and bought this for myself and my husband.The Colors were good because since my husband and and I have same equipment i can quickly differentiate which is mine (PINK) and his (BLACK)PROS:1. after custom fit, it feels AMAZING!!2. bright color is good3. silicone is good quality4. Can be reformed later in case your teeth change etc (this is a great thing)CONS:1. price (but this sooo takes a backseat to the pros)2. No more in my opinion
