Good little mill I’m pleased
My first mill so I didn’t want to spend a fortune but it packs a serious punch. I can see where it would overheat but all you would have to do is mill slower. Let it cool for a minute in between batches. Easy enough. If your issue is overheating you need a larger mill. For the purpose I’m using it, small batches for our family, it’s going to last awhile no issues

This unit really works for a maximum 3 cup capacity.
This baby can grind sugar very well.I also use it in my chocolate shop to grind coffee beans and cocoa beans, and anything else that goes into chocolate.

Too HOT! 🥵
I wanted to take my bread making to the next level....mill my own wheat berries into flour. This grinder, which produced fine wheat flour, got so hot, that the flour actually cooked inside the vessel. There was a layer of flour which resembled a thin cracker. I need to use a wooden spatula to scrape it out. I need my flour to be delicate and tender. This machine disappointed me. Also, I believe some of the nutrients were destroyed due to the heat. I'll use this machine to grind beans or larger things, but not wheat berries or rice. I do not recommend....sorry Charlie!

Solid
It's essentially a giant coffee grinder that does exactly what I bought it to do - namely, grind wheat berries into a small batch of flour, the perfect amount for a single serving of pasta or small loaf a bread. The device is solid and well made, as far as I can tell. I can only give it 4 stars though for three reasons:First, it does heat up a bit. Not the biggest deal for me, but if avoiding "pre-cooking" ingredients is vitally important to you, you might be better off with a more expensive grander designed to stay cool.Second, it takes much longer to adequately grind things than stated in the instructions/product description. Which is what causes the extra heat. Again, not a big deal, just annoying. Just be honest about these things. It's still significantly faster than the regular coffee grinder I bought it to replace, and grinds much finer, so... just be honest!Three, the biggest issue as stated in many other reviews: no safety latch. I have twice now showed my kitchen in flour because I forgot you can run this device without the lid on. It is entirely possible to take your fingers off in a distracted moment, and I really don't see why it's so difficult to just add a safety latch to the lid. Warning buyers to unplug the device before removing the lid may prevent you, legally, from being sued if someone loses a finger, but if you actually cared about your customer's safety... just add a security latch!Overall though, a solid grinder that does what it's supposed to do.

Worth it
I didn't think this thing was gonna work, but it works insanely good. It's loud as hell but I suppose it would be when it's grinding anything hard. I got this to use for wheat and it certainly turns it into flour in a matter of seconds. Considering the $400-$500 price tag on other mills, this is definitely worth the price.
