Glove Box Friendly Umbrella
I have an umbrella that I keep in the car just in case I get caught out by the weather. My current umbrella is somewhat large though so usually sits on the back seat, which looks untidy and does need moving around regularly when people are sat back there. This travel umbrella from Senshuomy is, on the other hand, very portable and easily fits in my glove box. The handle is comfortable to hold and has a button for automatic opening. Contrary to the suggestion the umbrella is not auto-closing, but pushing the open button allows you to push the umbrella back to its closed position. There is also a sleeve to keep it looking tidy when not in use. The material of the canopy feels like a sturdy plastic material on the inside, which makes it waterproof and it seems of a solid enough design. At the current price of £6.99 this is certainly worth having as something you can carry around in your handbag, backpack or in the car.

Compact, has holes but doesn't leak
This is a very good value compact umbrella. It opens with a single push of the button and partially closes with another push of the same button. In order to have the energy for this, it needs to be spring loaded and as such needs to be closed with both hands. Put one palm on the tip of the umbrella and the other on the handle and simply push together until it clicks closed. It folds back into its stuff sack fairly easily although these are rarely generous enough. The ribs are fibre glass or plastic (I can't tell) supported by steel struts. This is a far better and more durable setup than the more conventional all metal design which ultimately bends and fails. The odd thing about this umbrella is that it has clear holes in it along the seams behind the ribs. They are easily visible when it is held up to the light. The strap line written on the umbrella says "Super Prevent Sun" which, although, pidgin English, it appears to be wanting to convey the umbrellas UV protection qualities rather than its waterproof qualities leading me to wonder about whether its original intended purpose was in fact as a parasol. Regardless, I tested it against water by giving it a very good shower with the garden hose. I am happy to say that I did not detect a single drop of ingress.A really compact, durable and functional umbrella at a very reasonable price.
