These earrings are darling! They are shimmery and shiny. The center opal is 5/8" wide, so it was much wider than I had expected. I love it. There is no way of telling if they are actually 18K white gold plated, but they are very shiny...and my ears are allergic to cheap posts, so I'll test these out and see how they do. They are beautiful!

Bigger than expected
The earrings are pretty, but much larger than I expected, to big for a child, to big to look like real opals. The opal is a flat disk sitting in the setting. Not my favorite pair of earrings. They were discribed as small, these look like a 2k size stone , to big for my second top hole, which is what I had planned on using them for.

Lovely!
These earrings are lovely. I got the bigger size and they make a nice statement without being too bold. They're a nice change from my typical pearl studs and look good whether I'm dressed up or more casual. I've got fairly sensitive skin and I wear these probably 3-4 times a week and I haven't had any discomfort yet and the posts aren't discolored even after several weeks of frequent wear.

It’s exactly what is pictured but I hate studs with thin, bendy posts :( just have to be careful not to bend them out of shape

Loved them, but...
I loved these earrings!! They were so pretty and just the right size for my ears. Unfortunately, one of them broke apart when I tried to put in the backing. The metal rod just completely came off. Sad.
